Here's episode 1 0 1 with our friends, Ella Langley and Kayleigh Robard. This is the, in the round you guys been doing. Y'all been fucking busy, huh? Speaker 2 00:01:52 Very busy. <laugh> gone. We're never here. Yeah, Speaker 1 00:01:56 Never here. You're touring, you're like touring, touring to where you're gone for weeks at a time and shit. Speaker 2 00:02:00 Yeah. This, these past couple months have been, I mean we've been, we did two weeks and then we were home for a week and then we did two weeks and then, um, turned right around and left two days later. And I've been doing weekend warrior stuff, but it's like three in a row. So we have to leave Wednesday usually. Speaker 1 00:02:17 Yeah. And they're, and the places are not usually super close to each other. No. So it's a lot of drive time. Speaker 2 00:02:21 It's a lot of driving. And we're back in the van. We did the sprinter for the, when we were out consecutively for two Speaker 1 00:02:27 Weeks. What did you, what'd you think of the coffin? Bunks Speaker 2 00:02:29 Hated them. I, I mean, I can sleep anywhere. It's truly a talent of mine. She's Speaker 3 00:02:34 Narcoleptic, I'm pretty sure, honestly, Speaker 2 00:02:36 I can sleep anywhere at any time. But those bunks, Speaker 1 00:02:39 You gotta like cross your arms. Like you gotta scrunch, you can be a ball because if you're a ball, you're too high or well, Speaker 3 00:02:45 Well I make up sore cuz I'd like literally be like holding my body so tight. Just trying not to fall out of the bunk. Speaker 2 00:02:52 Yeah. Well the, the bunks are curved like this. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Speaker 1 00:02:56 Over the top. Yeah, Speaker 2 00:02:57 Over the top. Yeah. And obviously we're at the top bunks because, I don't know, I should feel like I should pick whatever bunk I want I'm paying Speaker 1 00:03:04 For. It usually goes whatever bunk you, whatever bunk the artist wants and then it just kind of fluctuates for the, I'm usually top bunk or I'm in the bandwagon. I'm in the front bunk, like, can I mm-hmm. <affirmative>, I'm not even, it gives me my separation from the, from Trey and the heathens. You Speaker 2 00:03:18 Know, I remember that time you slept in the front bunk and there wasn't any air conditioning and you, that happened the cup and you were just covered and sweat and pissed off. Speaker 1 00:03:26 I was like, I lost five pounds last night. Oh, did you go for a run? No, I went to sleep. Yeah. <laugh> when that ac unit stops working the Speaker 2 00:03:34 No, the Sprinter was cool. It was just like very narrow. I, the reason the sprinter was weird was because we only have showers in green rooms. Yeah. And all these showers were like the communal, like Speaker 3 00:03:49 Hockey arena, prison Speaker 2 00:03:51 Showers. Yeah. Speaker 3 00:03:52 So we take them in our bathing suits. Like we literally Speaker 2 00:03:54 Put on our bath bathing suits. There's no, so there's no door. So if you, you have someone has to go in there and pee, I'm in my swimsuit taking a shower. <laugh>, you know, <laugh> like, and so the sprinter like, you just feel gross for a lot of days. Yeah. Speaker 1 00:04:08 That's what, that's what, see I kind of feel like that's more in the bandwagon than I do in the van when we're at say Speaker 2 00:04:13 Cause when we're in, cause hotels, yeah. Speaker 1 00:04:15 We're in the vans. You got the hotels. You have you showered outta a Love's before though. Speaker 2 00:04:19 We almost did that on the way home from this past weekend. Um, but no Loves Speaker 1 00:04:25 Is good. And then a good cheat code, planet Fitness, if you guys had a membership. Speaker 2 00:04:29 We Speaker 1 00:04:29 Have. Yeah. Cause those are, those are good showers as Speaker 2 00:04:31 Well. We have to go to Planet Fitness because we don't have to, but our band is pretty adamant about going there. Really? It's a priority every day. Really? Oh yeah. Like if we mess up their time to go to the gym, Speaker 3 00:04:42 Like if sound check interferes with our arrival time and their gym time, it's bad news. Speaker 2 00:04:46 They're Speaker 1 00:04:47 Really upset. So is it gym before sound check and loading or is it gym after sound check and loading Before Doors. Before. Speaker 2 00:04:52 Before sound check. Really. Speaker 1 00:04:53 So they want first thing in the morning. Speaker 2 00:04:55 Yeah. That, that I will say that was nice about the Sprinter is we, um, we kind of had, we gotta have a routine out there where we'd get to the venue. We'd were there at like nine in the morning. Nine 10. Yeah. And then we up go to the gym, get a little, get a little workout in. Nice. Come back and eat some catering. Speaker 1 00:05:13 Yeah. What city had the best catering that you can remember? Speaker 3 00:05:19 We had a really good one recently. What was it? Speaker 2 00:05:22 Oh, I, Speaker 1 00:05:23 Because you've been out with different crews, you've been out on, on theater shows, you've been out at festivals, you've been out at arenas. Literally. Yeah. Anything and everything guys covered have done in the last couple months. Speaker 3 00:05:32 We've covered every venue type. Like this whole year Speaker 2 00:05:34 We've done I think pretty much everything but stadium this year. Speaker 3 00:05:38 This year. Speaker 1 00:05:39 Yeah. You've done like, we've done, you've done like dive bars and shit too. Like you've literally done, Speaker 2 00:05:42 We've done club arenas, um, amphitheaters theaters, festival stages. Um, I don't think there's any more besides stadiums, right? Speaker 1 00:05:53 Yeah, I would think so. Speaker 2 00:05:54 Except for like, maybe Speaker 1 00:05:56 So funny thinking back too, the first time we had you on to where, how we're recording this podcast now mm-hmm. <affirmative> and how much things have changed for everyone involved. Like episode 57 in my old basement and that like dark dungeon studio thing. Mm-hmm. <affirmative> that we have, which shout out to Shawn and uh, our friends at the Hillson studio. We were grateful for the opportunity for me to live there and record the podcast there. It was awesome. You were a great landlord. But like, just to like, back then we were, we had just met each other. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>, Mitch, Mitch Wallace came Speaker 2 00:06:27 With you. That was the first time you met Mitch. Right? That was Speaker 1 00:06:29 The first time I met Mitch Wallace cuz he never came out to kickball, which I didn't realize until recently. I just kind of always assumed that he was there. No, but then I'm like, Mitch isn't running around playing kickball. I love Mitch, but he's not run. No, he wasn't out there. Blood, sweat, beers playing kickball blood with everybody. Blood, sweat and beers. That's awesome. Pretty much so, yeah. Yeah. I was, I mean those kickball days were a lot of fun. But it's, ive met you and, and Trey and Maxwell and like that whole crew. I really got to know you guys through kickball. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>. And then I was like, fuck it, let's do a podcast. And you had a song coming out back then, was that? Speaker 2 00:06:59 No, uh, it was, uh, I never even put it out. It was Miss You, me and Joy Beth wrote it. It was the second song me and her ever wrote no shit together. Yeah. Half a guy I would like to see. Yes. After four or five, maybe Speaker 1 00:07:12 Six, maybe six beaters. I do remember that. That was a writer's round hit. Yeah. Like that was the one where everybody, everybody was singing that shit. I know. Why didn't you put it out? What happened? Speaker 2 00:07:21 Oh, um, the guy, this guy that was recording my singles, um, at the time he covid happened hit and then I never heard from him. Paid for the whole thing. Never heard from him. What? Yeah. I got one mix back and then just never heard from Speaker 1 00:07:35 Himm. We might have to go repo bud. We might have to send you and it, it was like 1200 bucks. We might have to send you Terry and Mitch with a couple bricks. Speaker 2 00:07:42 We'll figure out who it is. We'll Speaker 1 00:07:43 Get that song. We'll get Mac's got. I don't want Speaker 2 00:07:47 It. We're gonna Speaker 1 00:07:47 Share the whole computer and everything. We're gonna bring it. That's wild though. Dick down in Dallas hadn't even happened yet. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>. That was like before. Speaker 2 00:07:54 And then Covid hit Speaker 1 00:07:54 Everything. Mm-hmm. Speaker 2 00:07:56 <affirmative>. Speaker 1 00:07:56 That was like way back in the day because then after, because that was like July, August of 2020. Mm-hmm. <affirmative> and the round that kind of changed all the stuff was in September and then all the buzz with the dick down in Dallas stuff October, November. And then Trey puts it out December 1st for Dick down December. No, November's gonna be two years since December. Yeah. We're actually doing, um, we're doing a birthday party for him and Maxwell. Remember we did that. This one we Speaker 2 00:08:22 Have to do the same round Speaker 1 00:08:25 Of. Speaker 2 00:08:25 It was, it was me, joy, Beth, Trey, and Alex. Speaker 1 00:08:28 Yeah. We could definitely do that. And now we could have a whole bunch of special guests on there. Just how much things have grown and I know. And uh, but it's, it's funny because like around that time it's like everybody's like, all of town was buzzing on this crew. On the SIGs in the outfield. Mm-hmm. <affirmative> Canberra court and what, what McKinney and Maxwell and, and Brent and Drew and that whole crew is doing like the whole crew. It's just wild from like, we were all playing kickball together to where we were all hanging out doing bonfires. Mm-hmm <affirmative> to writer's rounds to fucking off and having a good time and hanging out with, do you remember the uh, swamp Monkey or you know the Swamp Monkey? It's still at your house. Speaker 2 00:09:06 Yeah, it's at my house. Yeah. The Swamp Monkey brings it out sometimes. Yeah. The parties Speaker 1 00:09:09 At the Swamp. I, my first picture with Mark, my, the first thing, Speaker 2 00:09:12 Wait, hold on. The Swamp Monkey is <laugh>. Speaker 1 00:09:16 He knows McElroy knows. Speaker 2 00:09:17 Well we have to explain cuz I mean, yeah. Speaker 1 00:09:19 A lot of my audience won't know Speaker 2 00:09:21 What the fuck is a swamp monkey, you know, never heard of it before. It is pretty much a deer's ass that is, that has eyeballs. Speaker 1 00:09:31 Hey McElroy, can you bring me, or I saw, or you, you, do you have a picture of it? You've probably seen it in their house. You have to have seen Speaker 2 00:09:38 It. No, he keeps it in the closet. I told Speaker 1 00:09:40 Him it closet hide. I haven't seen it used to be in the fucking living room at their old house. It was like a, it was a, it was a centerpiece. It was like row ta like this is a deer's ass just sitting in the fucking Speaker 3 00:09:49 All there is now is that leg lamp? Speaker 1 00:09:51 Oh, the leg lamp's. Like this thing is like, it's an icon. Another level. Yeah. I actually have a picture of Trey when I first Oh, good toss McElroy. Um, I actually have a picture of Trey holding this thing. And then I, the first night I met Mark Addison. Chandler. Speaker 2 00:10:07 Yeah. Oh, do you remember? Speaker 1 00:10:09 Yeah, that was my first time meeting him. That was like before Grind House had even started. Speaker 2 00:10:13 Yeah, he was, uh, he Speaker 1 00:10:14 He got after it that night. Speaker 2 00:10:16 Yeah. Speaker 1 00:10:17 And cause I have a picture of the Swamp Monkey, like next to him with him passed out. The got, we were like taking pictures of the Swamp Monkey with people where it is it, it's an old picture. Oh, here it is right here. Look at Trey bag in the day. Speaker 3 00:10:30 Show that dash Speaker 1 00:10:31 That way. Can you Speaker 3 00:10:31 See? Oh, I have seen, I haven't seen that specifically, but I've seen that before. Speaker 1 00:10:35 Oh yeah. You're from Georgia. You guys have that. You guys have this kind of crazy shit Speaker 3 00:10:38 Too. You've seen before. Not in your Speaker 2 00:10:38 House. How does it have a mouth? Like I, and I like Speaker 1 00:10:41 Mouth. The mouth is the as crew, Speaker 2 00:10:42 That's the whole it crew hates it. Scary. That's why, that's the only reason Trey brings it out sometimes is just to chase crew around the house and traumatize my dog. Speaker 1 00:10:52 Yeah. I've seen Crew and Sam like, I remember them at that old house. Speaker 2 00:10:55 I mean, it's scary if, if Trey would chase me around the house with that thing. Freak cow too. I'm scared he does. God. Speaker 1 00:11:02 Yeah. So should Speaker 2 00:11:03 We, should we explain who Kayleigh is? Speaker 1 00:11:06 Yes. <laugh>. We absolutely should. We absolutely Speaker 2 00:11:09 Should. This is Kevin. Speaker 1 00:11:10 Kevin? No. Speaker 2 00:11:11 Yeah, Speaker 3 00:11:12 She calls me, she called me that onstage the Speaker 2 00:11:14 Other day. Well, her family nicknamed her Kyle. Um, and I was on stage and uh, and she couldn't remember and I couldn't remember and I said, sang it Kevin, because I just was saw like I was watching her shoot and she was just singing so loud. Anyways. Speaker 1 00:11:28 Kayleigh, you said that onstage during the show? Yeah. Fuck Speaker 2 00:11:31 Yeah. I said sing it Kevin Speaker 1 00:11:32 And some guy in the audience named Kevin is like, holy shit. She know Speaker 2 00:11:36 I am. I some, I don't know. I some she never know what I'm gonna say up there. It's, I like how the tag is still on that chair. Sorry. And the tag is still on the bathroom. Mat rug in here. Yeah, that stretches me out. Anyways, Kayleigh. Speaker 1 00:11:52 Yeah. What's your official title now? Within Team Ella? Langley. Cause it started out as well. Speaker 2 00:11:56 She has two different titles. Okay. Speaker 3 00:11:59 Okay. So photo, video and then Handler is my, like handler. Handler, newest promotion handler. Speaker 1 00:12:06 Hey. Yeah. Babysitter. Speaker 2 00:12:09 No, Speaker 3 00:12:09 No. Handler. Handler. Handler. Speaker 2 00:12:11 Different Speaker 1 00:12:12 Handler. Well, I guess, see I'm, I guess I'm technically a handler as well within my tour manager duties, but it's more of a, more of a, a babysitting kind of role than it is. Speaker 3 00:12:21 Yeah. I don't, Speaker 1 00:12:22 Not as much. Not as much of Trey, but those round Trey those, yeah. Shout out sweet boy. Love you buddy. But, but yes. So how did you two meet? Was it Wendell's Speaker 2 00:12:31 And Yeah. Yeah. Wow. Did you remember? Not even Speaker 1 00:12:34 Because I, I I kind of met Kayleigh another way. Speaker 2 00:12:36 Oh yeah. We gotta get into that Speaker 1 00:12:38 Please. Speaker 2 00:12:40 We met. I'm very excited for that. <laugh>. I was hoping we were gonna, Speaker 4 00:12:43 I'm just gonna flip that clock down over there so I don't even look at the time. And then y'all can just carry on with all this, cuz this is great. <laugh>. Speaker 2 00:12:51 Okay. <laugh> Speaker 1 00:12:52 McElroy, interjections. You gotta love. Yeah. So who were you playing that show at Wends Speaker 2 00:12:56 With Oh, co. We played it with co We Speaker 1 00:12:58 Met Was that CO and Peka? Speaker 2 00:12:59 That was, no, it was CO Speaker 3 00:13:01 And Chris Speaker 2 00:13:01 Colston. Chris Colston and, um, Speaker 1 00:13:03 Outdoors at Wendell's. Oh yeah. Speaker 3 00:13:05 It 107 degrees at least. Speaker 2 00:13:07 Yeah. It was super, very hot. And um, yeah, she, she randomly shot me. Speaker 3 00:13:14 Yeah. I don't always like shoot openers, but for some reason. Speaker 1 00:13:18 And how'd you find out about, were you just, you just hit up Dre and the crew over in CO's team or like Joe? Speaker 3 00:13:23 Yeah, JP got me hooked up with a photo pass. Um, who's Speaker 2 00:13:26 KO's photographer. Speaker 3 00:13:27 Yeah. Yeah. And um, so I went and shot the whole night, but I don't always shoot the opener and shot her. Speaker 2 00:13:34 Yeah. I was first at three too. Yeah. Um, and then you came back up here for New Year's, did you? Yeah. You were at the New Year's Trey show? Yeah. Yep. To Scoreboards Kaylee came and um, then I got the Randy Houser tour and our second weekend was in Atlanta where Kaylee was living at the time where she's from. Yep. And um, she was like, yo, you want me to come shoot the show? And I was like, yeah, you wanna come the first weekend too? And now she just has left and Speaker 3 00:14:01 I didn't leave Speaker 1 00:14:02 And you fucking moved up here. Yeah. Yeah. It turned into you being like, all right, fuck this back and forth in my letter. Literal I'm gonna move. I drove here Speaker 3 00:14:09 Literal it seven hours extra every weekend. Speaker 2 00:14:12 And we were in the van, dude. And so we'd be, we'd have like Speaker 1 00:14:14 In in trays ins then, Speaker 2 00:14:16 Right? Sometimes. Yeah. That thing's fucking gross. I can't, I said I, I'm not getting back in it. Uhuh the radio is my fault. I did catch the radio on Speaker 1 00:14:25 The fire there, there there's a Post-it note that just says Mike over the radio. Over the radio is, and I was like, oh Speaker 2 00:14:33 Boy, I set it on fire. She Speaker 1 00:14:34 Did. So, so Trey's been like renting it out and stuff and everybody that's been renting it out recently leaves something in there. So like somebody, I think it was, um, who the fuck ran it first? Uh, drew Henderson left a, um, left like a dream catcher, like a big like Indian dream catcher. Like in between the two drivers, between the two, uh, front seats. Then, um, who the fuck was it? Somebody, um, that's with River House rented it out. I forget who the fuck it was. Um, Rainey had set it up over there, but they got a air freshener That's Alan Jackson with a grape snow cone. So now everybody that rents it out is adding something to the chaos of random shit that's in there. My nut scratcher still in there. Did you ever use that? Speaker 3 00:15:12 Oh, we found it. The Speaker 2 00:15:13 Nut scratcher. Speaker 1 00:15:14 Yeah, the back scratch. We found the nut scratcher Scratch it back Scratch Speaker 2 00:15:16 Of the nuts. I didn't use it. No. Mm-hmm. No I didn't. Speaker 1 00:15:18 It's a great backscratcher. I Speaker 3 00:15:20 Think that pack of condoms is still, is still, Speaker 2 00:15:22 There's like five packs of condoms in there. They're all like, my favorite part is is they're in the dashboard. Yeah. Yeah. So like, anyway, what park? Speaker 3 00:15:30 And Speaker 2 00:15:30 It's just like, I just left them there. I don't care. Speaker 1 00:15:33 Yeah. And the, um, the souvenirs from, uh, little Rock, Arkansas and I forget where the other one came from. The, uh, undergarments that are hanging, that are strapped to the mm-hmm. <affirmative>, the seat belts in the back. Speaker 2 00:15:45 Yeah. There's bras are everywhere, <laugh>. Speaker 1 00:15:48 So when Terry and Mitch are feeling kinky, you know Yeah. They put 'em on together. Yeah, I know. But anyway, so, so <laugh> Speaker 2 00:15:54 We got real off Speaker 1 00:15:55 Track. Digress. Um, so you had, so how did you first, so you met her in and you guys met in Anderson? Yeah. Speaker 3 00:16:03 So we hung out like after the show and um, followed each other on Instagram. Speaker 1 00:16:09 You were doing work with other, with other, other artists too for a little bit. Right? Speaker 3 00:16:13 I was mainly doing like freelance stuff in Atlanta. Like I was just shooting like I shot for the masquerade for a long time and I was just doing like any shows in Atlanta. I was working for like publications. So I was just shooting like whatever shows I wanted to in Atlanta. And then that was kind of like the start of the start of that. Speaker 2 00:16:30 Yeah. This is the first time you've been consecutively on the road with one. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. It really works. We, we say the brand works. The brand Speaker 3 00:16:39 Works. That's our, Speaker 2 00:16:39 We are the brand, the brand works catchphrase. Speaker 3 00:16:41 The brand Speaker 2 00:16:42 Works. We're slinging merch everywhere. Oh yeah. Speaker 1 00:16:44 Yeah. I'm sure you guys are <laugh>. I mean, I remember you were, you were helping me sling merch. I Speaker 2 00:16:49 Learned a lot from, from from you on Speaker 1 00:16:51 That. Remember the South Dakota show at that, um, that park or that like parking lot outside dude underneath the tent. It was fucking hot and those girls were taking the stickers and putting 'em on their asses and Yeah. Twerking with butt fucked in Boston stickers on their daisy dukes. Yeah. Speaker 2 00:17:04 You never know. Speaker 3 00:17:05 Merch is always a Russian roulette of who you're gonna talk to. Speaker 1 00:17:08 Yeah. Especially, I mean with, with our show and I started selling merch with, my first gig was with, with with Musket on. Yeah. And that crew was that that crowd is middle aged women. That's who I used to talk to on the radio, you know, and you just make girls, you just make guys feel bad when they're there with their girlfriends. You look at 'em and go, is she really your porch swing angel? And then they buy everything. Everything. Like, baby, I love you, you are my porch swing angel. And then they buy everything. That's fair. That's how you trick 'em. Speaker 2 00:17:33 That's how you trick 'em. That's how you Speaker 1 00:17:34 Trick 'em. You make, you make, you make the guys feel like shit in front of their girlfriends. Cause Yeah, almost. You have to fines almost, almost every guy that is at a Musk and on bloodline show is there're with their girlfriend. Yeah. Or Gora on a date with a girl they're trying to impress or their wife or whatever. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>. So what have the crowds have you seen? Like, you've seen a lot of different crowds. Yeah. Like as far of a spectrum within country, music, music, Speaker 2 00:17:53 It's been all over the place Speaker 1 00:17:54 As you can possibly get mm-hmm. From last year when you were out with, with Trey, with us to being out with co being out with Jamie to being out with fucking Gary, Randy Allen, Randy Houser, Speaker 2 00:18:06 Like you seen like Cody Johnson. Yeah, Speaker 1 00:18:07 Yeah. Carl Joe, you've and around the country. Speaker 2 00:18:10 Oh yeah. I uh, how many states have we been to this year? 37. 37. 37. Speaker 1 00:18:16 More than more than like 90% of people. Yeah. 95% of people go to their entire life. Yeah. Speaker 2 00:18:21 Yeah. Yeah. Um, yeah, it's just been, it's, it's this year I, the way I describe this year is this year I learned how to entertain those different kinds of crowds. How to work those different kinds of stages because it's all different. You work a, you work, um, an arena stage so much different to a club, you know? Yeah. Um, so, and also seeing all those headliners, how they do it. So it's so Speaker 1 00:18:48 Interesting. Yeah. Some, some of 'em are flying around, some of 'em are very much stationary. They're about the music and let the music speak for itself. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>, it's like there's no wrong or right way to do it. And the crowd responses, Speaker 2 00:18:58 There's definitely a wrong way to do it. Well Speaker 1 00:18:59 What I'm saying is like the different, the different methods of doing it. Yeah. Like, like I would imagine the CO is flying around more than Jamie Johnson is. Speaker 2 00:19:07 Yeah. Speaker 1 00:19:08 Yes. That's what I'm saying. Like, you have guys that are playing to the same size crowds mm-hmm. <affirmative>, but one is very stationary with his guitar and the other guy is flying around. Everything's blowing up around him. Speaker 2 00:19:19 Yeah. Fire pyro everywhere. Speaker 1 00:19:21 Yeah. We have, we have our first, uh, co wetzel shows coming up. Speaker 2 00:19:24 I know. We just played the venue. One of the venues that y'all are playing, y'all are playing Speaker 1 00:19:27 Which one? Salem Speaker 2 00:19:29 Civic Speaker 1 00:19:29 Center. Oh, sale. Virginia. Virginia. Virginia. Yeah. Speaker 2 00:19:30 Hell yeah. Yeah. The poster was up there. Speaker 1 00:19:32 Yeah. It's gonna be fun. It's gonna be a Speaker 2 00:19:34 Time. Yeah. Whenever I saw them, they were all here last week and I said, um, my roommates I think doing some shows with y'all in the next month and they're like, hell yeah. I said, I think his band might be, they can hang, they can hang, they're gonna be able to hang. Speaker 1 00:19:51 Yeah. I'm thinking. And and some of our guys have had, um, red Door Post Writers Round Ex, um, experiences with Speaker 2 00:19:58 Yeah. I can't wait. Speaker 1 00:19:58 Co and his, his band of, band of wild dudes. So, and we did, um, Colby Cooper's on those shows too. Oh, that's so much fun. Yeah. Um, me and Matt helped out Wales with his, with Colby's last video. Okay. That was in they shot here in Nashville. That yeah. That, uh, we're on fire, I think it's called mm-hmm. <affirmative> or Fire or whatever. So I got to know Colby and his guys very well and they're just as rowdy as go. Yeah. And his guys Yeah. Who are just as rowdy as Trey and our guys. So you're gonna put it all together and, uh, kind Speaker 2 00:20:29 Of wanna go. It's Speaker 1 00:20:30 Gonna be a fun time. Kinda Speaker 2 00:20:31 Wanna, we're talking about it, Speaker 1 00:20:32 It's gonna be absurd. And we have, um, in between those two shows we're in, uh, Savannah, we're in Savannah, Georgia playing a headlining show, which Savannah, south Georgia gets down. We haven't been down there in a long time. Get down to get down to go see our friends in Statesboro. It's gonna be a wild, uh, wild time. So for you two coming outta the southeast, so like the southeast is like the mecca of country music. Like the, the crowds just appreciate it more. Whether you're playing at a bar, you're playing at a fucking restaurant, whatever, like you guys just have more music, I think especially country music than I would have in New York or someone in like California's gonna have or someone we're you're just exposed to. We're not saying there's not country fans up there. Yeah. But what was it like going to these different crowds? Like what's, what was it like playing a show in Massachusetts? What was it like playing a show in New York compared to Yeah, you're used to your, your roots are, are Montgomery, Alabama, Auburn, Alabama, some of the rowdiest like best country music crowds in the country. Mm-hmm. <affirmative> are what you're coming up with. And then you're going out to all these different places. Yeah. What was your, one of your favorites or one that surprised you? Speaker 2 00:21:36 The, where did we play in Chicago? Speaker 3 00:21:38 We played Joe's. There's two Speaker 2 00:21:40 Joe's. Speaker 1 00:21:41 You guys did Joe's Live Probably big one. Yeah. We did Joe's Speaker 3 00:21:43 Live, not Joe's on Weed. Yeah. Speaker 2 00:21:45 I'm pretty sure. I think, um, it surprises me how many people listen to country all over the place. Yeah. Because I mean, growing up in the South, like, I kind of just always thought people only in the South listen to country music mm-hmm. <affirmative>, I, and then obviously I got older and figured out. No. Yeah. This year. I mean, I just learned a lot that people give a shit about it everywhere Speaker 1 00:22:07 In Chicago especially Speaker 2 00:22:08 There are rednecks everywhere. I'll tell you what, being at the merch, dude, my God. Oh my God. She's some, some stuff like, you know, when you're, you have that moment like, is this shit happening? Is this real life? Speaker 3 00:22:21 That's how merch feels. Speaker 2 00:22:22 Did I just watch that happen? Like for instance, uh, one time we were at merch and this guy was like, can I get a picture with you? And me and Kaylee usually we had a, during we were on the Randy tour, we'd, ID get off stage, I'd run back to the green room, wipe some sweat off, run to merch, and we'd sell merch in between our set and Randy's. Yeah. And that's when we would sell the most mm-hmm. <affirmative>. And uh, so it was like Randy was just getting on and like, there was not a whole bunch of people out there, but a couple people. And this guy was like, can I have a picture? And I said, yeah. And I go out to take a picture with him and he said, watch this. And swoops his arms under my legs and picked her up, picked me up and I said, put me down, Speaker 3 00:23:06 <laugh>. Speaker 2 00:23:08 Put me down. And I said, get his ass outta here. Yeah. He did buy eight T-shirts though, so that was cool. Speaker 3 00:23:14 You get when he, he Speaker 2 00:23:16 Find his eight t-shirts, um, there's a homeless woman outside, I'm gonna give 'em to her as a pillow. And I was like, you did. Okay. He did, Speaker 3 00:23:22 He did do Speaker 2 00:23:22 That. I don't care what you do with them, but thank you for buying them. Speaker 1 00:23:26 Where, where was that? Speaker 3 00:23:27 That was in, Speaker 2 00:23:28 That was when we were on the West Coast Speaker 3 00:23:30 Anaheim house Blue. Speaker 2 00:23:31 Yeah. Speaker 1 00:23:31 In California. Rednecks Speaker 3 00:23:33 California rednecks. Speaker 1 00:23:34 They're wild out there too. T Trey's experiencing that this weekend. He's doing the, he's flying out for those kid rock shows in California. Mm-hmm. Just him and Alex going, but the, the California crowd, like, I feel like the northern crowds and the western crowds have like a chip on their shoulder and they get extra. And I can say that cuz I was a part of that crowd. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>, like we would do things to be like extra in a way to be, to make folks that would come up from the south. Like, like if I went to a, you go to a Brantley Gilbert concert in New York, you're gonna see more, more like rebel flags and just like big trucks and like crazy shit. Mm-hmm. <affirmative> in the New York show than you will at the Georgia show. Yeah. Just because they're putting on to be like, Hey, we're country up here. What we know you think about country. I don't, they think about the city, but Speaker 2 00:24:18 It's Yeah, they're, there's, yeah. It's just they're characters. Speaker 1 00:24:22 Oh, there's lots of characters. Speaker 2 00:24:24 Very many. Like the we were the other night, the other night, this guy bought a T-shirt and took his shirt off that he was wearing, Speaker 3 00:24:31 Almost got kicked outta the menu. Almost got Speaker 2 00:24:33 Kicked outta the, Speaker 3 00:24:33 Was just standing there. And he has like this big ass like American flag, Eagle cross tattoo, like Speaker 1 00:24:39 Screaming Eagle. Speaker 3 00:24:40 Screaming Eagle. Yeah. And he's just standing there like talking with his shirt off. Yeah. Like, hasn't put the shirt he bought on yet. Speaker 2 00:24:46 I was like, dude, I don't know what you think this is doing. Speaker 1 00:24:49 This is, yeah. He was trying. Speaker 3 00:24:50 Oh, he was on a mission for sure. Yeah. Speaker 2 00:24:51 He was on a mission. But, uh, yeah, it's just like what Speaker 3 00:24:55 Merch is just crazy place to be. Speaker 2 00:24:57 It's a crazy place to be. Speaker 1 00:25:00 Yeah. It it is. It is. Um, I can only imagine how wild it is. And now you two being out there as, as young single ladies, what the, what the fuck are the dms like these days? Because I know this isn't DM Monday. Sorry, Trey. For, for stealing your concepts, taking the DM Monday concept here on the, in the round. But like what, like, because you guys are, you're obviously promoting mm-hmm. <affirmative> your social media mm-hmm. <affirmative>. So you're saying, Hey everybody if you want, like, follow me on, so on whatever. Like, and you're telling people that at the, so people are, you're probably getting a lot of followers per show if I would imagine, right? Mm-hmm. <affirmative>, right. And like TikTok follow whatever. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>. How crazy are, are some of the, some of the guys, I guess girdles too. Just people in those, it's that curiosity. Cause I've seen Treys and those are fucking nuts. Speaker 2 00:25:43 Well I think Speaker 1 00:25:44 Treys are, and it's different as a male and a female. It's different as a male and a female. All I'm saying just people shooting their shot. Oh yeah. Because like people shoot their shot on Treys and that's like something. But being a young female, it's a whole different can of worms of the bullshit you gotta deal with right now. Speaker 2 00:25:59 I think girls are way less shy about it than guys are really Oh yeah. I think, I mean, definitely do get some Oh yeah. I mean, yeah, for sure. But <laugh>, I just think Speaker 1 00:26:09 I What's the, what's the, what's the best one? What's the worst one that you can remember? Speaker 2 00:26:13 Oh, I don't know. There's Speaker 1 00:26:14 Gotta be one that was like, there's gotta be one where like, that was pretty slick, dude. Speaker 2 00:26:18 I don't know. We can have to Speaker 3 00:26:20 Back a lot of random ones that are like, what are y'all doing after the show? And it's like, oh, it's that kind of stuff. You get weirder ones than I do for sure. Speaker 2 00:26:26 Yeah. Speaker 3 00:26:27 But I got one a few weeks ago and it was literally some guy and he was like, you're really getting your cardio in, running around, taking all those pictures. I was like, why were you paying that much attention to me? She's on stage. Speaker 1 00:26:38 What? But was that during the show that you got? Oh, for sure. That you, you got that message during the show? Yeah. My favorite Speaker 2 00:26:43 Are the ones, um, my favorite are not even the dms. Watch Speaker 3 00:26:46 The show dude. Pay attention. Speaker 2 00:26:48 Not even the dms. It's the when they hold their Snapchat up Yeah. And they like write something on it. Yeah. It's like sometimes like you just can't help but laugh, you know? Speaker 1 00:26:57 Have you had a guy like try to like get on a knee for you or something yet? Huh? Have you had a guy like fake, like fake propose, like do that at a meet and greet? Cause I've heard that happen, uh, to females in country music before? Not yet. No. Where Like, like I think it happened. I hope that Speaker 2 00:27:11 Doesn't Speaker 1 00:27:12 Happen. I think it happened to Kelsey Baller. It happened to somebody. I remember. I Speaker 2 00:27:14 Hope that Speaker 1 00:27:15 Doesn't happen to me. I remember it happened like a few years back. I don't where I doubt that where somebody showed up and was like trying to shoot their shot like that hardcore. Speaker 2 00:27:24 Yeah. I don't know Matt. I don't know if you know me, but I don't. Speaker 1 00:27:28 Well I know it won't work. I'm just saying the shit that, the shit that like the crazy drunk dudes will do. They Speaker 3 00:27:33 Do. They Speaker 1 00:27:34 At the merge table with you being out at the merch table. Most, most females don't go out to the emergency room for as long as as time as Speaker 2 00:27:40 As you guys do sometimes. Just like staying there for a long time. Speaker 3 00:27:42 Yeah. They'll just like stand like three feet away from the table Speaker 2 00:27:46 Just looking. And like recently, one of the Jamie shows that we did it was the first show the first night. And uh, this guy, me and Kayla are sitting at me and this guy just like walks up and just stands right here next to me and doesn't do anything. And I was like, what's your next move buddy? Like what are you doing? Speaker 1 00:28:01 What's up? Speaker 2 00:28:02 Get the fuck out on the other side of the marsh table. Speaker 1 00:28:04 What are doing? Oh, he was behind the Speaker 2 00:28:05 Table? Speaker 3 00:28:06 No, he like came and stood like next, like right there. Speaker 1 00:28:09 Like that little cut in. Yeah. Didn't say anything. No, Speaker 2 00:28:12 No. I just stood there. Speaker 4 00:28:14 Do you not have security standing there with Speaker 3 00:28:16 Me? I'm security. It's just me. Speaker 4 00:28:17 Oh no. Y'all got Speaker 2 00:28:18 It. <laugh>. Y'all Speaker 1 00:28:20 There, there's a security Speaker 2 00:28:21 Guard there. Me and Kayleigh have a level of confidence that no two people should have. And where's Speaker 1 00:28:26 And where's the and where and where's the, where's the band at while this is going on? Load out. Load out. Oh, they're loading out and then going to get their second workouts in and their showers Speaker 2 00:28:33 Probably. Oh, they have a routine dude. They're like a bun. I don't know how to explain them. They're, they <laugh>, they're all just like, they have such their own personalities that are so special in ways in their own special ways. Speaker 1 00:28:46 You sound like a, you sound like a cat lady. You're talking about her four cats. It really is. Speaker 2 00:28:50 They all have such personalities. This is what, but this is what they do. Like they, Speaker 1 00:28:53 Okay, so go. So go through 'em. Shut it. I'm gonna Speaker 2 00:28:55 Go through their day. Speaker 1 00:28:56 Well, well also go through, Speaker 2 00:28:57 No, go Speaker 1 00:28:57 Through each of 'em, the personalities of the guys that you have out Speaker 2 00:28:59 With you. Okay. So my guitar player Ben, Speaker 3 00:29:02 He's the leader of the gym pack. Speaker 2 00:29:03 He's the leader of the pack. We, we wanna get sw Speaker 1 00:29:06 The dude does not own suit. We wanna get Speaker 2 00:29:08 On his shirt, t-shirts. We wanna get t-shirts for our the drum. Yeah. We're ordering these for Rye and Howard that say Ben's bitches. Speaker 3 00:29:15 And then, cause they're just his little, his Speaker 2 00:29:16 Little buddies gives Ben a shirt that says Ben <laugh>. And I'm gonna make him wear it for one sound check just so I can enjoy it. Um, so Ben, my league, my tarp player, he is from Australia, but only sounds Australian sometimes because he moved here when, when he was 15. Um, how do you describe Ben? I don't know. He has his things like, I don't know how to explain it. Like Speaker 3 00:29:40 I don't even, they are like such an enigma of human beings, but they're all so well behaved. None of none of them really drink. It's none of them. Wow. Speaker 2 00:29:49 It's harder to get my baby to drink. We are than to not use. Yes. Speaker 1 00:29:52 Wow. Speaker 3 00:29:52 Yeah. I mean it's just me and her. Like if there's, yeah, the boys are so well Speaker 2 00:29:56 Behaved. They love to go, like, they love to leave Radda after replay and Speaker 3 00:30:00 Just go to bed. Bed to Speaker 2 00:30:00 Bed. The other night they put, this is a perfect example. They, the beds were a little small, so they decided to push. I have a picture of their beds to the all the beds together. Speaker 3 00:30:11 Like mega bed, mega bed. Mega Speaker 2 00:30:12 Bed. Mega bed. Yeah. Let me see if Speaker 3 00:30:14 I can find that picture. They all Speaker 2 00:30:15 Slept together. They all slept together. Yeah. Anyways, so Ben has to go to the gym. He's got a, you get Speaker 1 00:30:20 A card? Yeah. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. You get cards for them. They're good. They're good boys. They're actually sweet boys. M this is the bigger bed. Little sweet boys that, Speaker 2 00:30:31 So that's our base. My base wear r That's right. I call 'em Sweet baby Ry. Yep. He's an angel. And does no wrong. Speaker 3 00:30:38 He does no wrong <laugh>. Dude, I just like caught my text. I just Speaker 1 00:30:43 Loved him. I haven't met him yet. I wanna, I wanna meet that guy one day. That seems like a good deal. Yeah. You got, he's How, how long has he been with you? Speaker 2 00:30:48 So he started with us in June. He came on in June. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>. And then, um, Howard just started our drummer. Yeah. He started, uh, like a month ago in August for the Speaker 1 00:30:59 Champ tour. I want, I wanna do like the old like smoker. Granny. Like talking like Howard. Come here. Speaker 2 00:31:03 Howard. Howard. Howard. Speaker 3 00:31:05 He's on Howie. Somehow. Howie. Speaker 2 00:31:06 Howie. Speaker 1 00:31:07 Howie doing Big. Speaker 2 00:31:08 How? That's what Ben calls him. Big Howe. How big. Speaker 1 00:31:10 How, yeah. And then you have, um, do you have a, do you have a Davis? Speaker 2 00:31:14 Davis. Speaker 1 00:31:14 Davis. How's that going? Speaker 2 00:31:15 He's killing it dude. Killing it. Speaker 3 00:31:17 Dude's Speaker 1 00:31:17 Got a lot of experience. Well, I Speaker 2 00:31:18 Don't, oh yeah. Um, so I've known, it's cool because I've known Davis since I started playing. Um, he watched me play my first full band show ever. I, it was so bad. It was so, so bad. <laugh>. Um, and then, um, he's just kind of, we've kept in touch this whole time. Been friends and, um, I needed a tm and so I called him and he's like, yep. And he's killing it. Speaker 1 00:31:41 Yeah. Speaker 2 00:31:41 It's great. Speaker 1 00:31:43 He, and like for, I gotta say like he's Hess gotta be dealing with like the, the crew of like coming up and like building. He's really like building it. Yeah. You know, like the state that, that he's in. It's not like he's walking into a crew where you guys have been operating like this for five to 10 years doing all this. Yeah. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>. So it's, it's a good spot to be where you guys are all kind of coming up through it together. Speaker 2 00:32:06 Yeah. We're still figuring it out. You know, just, Speaker 1 00:32:07 That's the best part though. For sure. Sure. Is nobody has, with the exception maybe a couple of your players that have been out in previous gigs, it's like, no, everybody's kind of starting from square one and like really invested in it together. Speaker 2 00:32:18 Well it's cool. I think, um, they just bel they believe in me so much and I know like, Hey guys, we gotta drive through the night and not take a shower. And um, I know it sucks and they're, but they'll, they'll do it. They'll just get in the van and be like, this sucks. But yeah, we'll do it. Um, Speaker 1 00:32:34 Who does a lot of the driving? So I guess Davis, we Speaker 2 00:32:36 All take turns. Davis does. And um, we all take turns doing it depends. But the sprinter, we had a driver, which was awesome. Speaker 1 00:32:43 Yeah. Driver changes everything. It does. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>, you'll, you'll learn too, the, there's some wild bus drivers out there. Like personality personalities heard like Speaker 2 00:32:51 Cookie. Speaker 1 00:32:52 Well there's Cookie, there's mild Greg. There was, uh, then who was the third one? Bobby Lee. Speaker 2 00:32:58 Bobby Lee. Speaker 1 00:32:58 Bobby Lee. Yeah. He says there's three ways of doing things. Legal way. Illegal way. Bobby leeway. Oh, that's scary. And he's, Speaker 2 00:33:05 What does that mean? That's Speaker 3 00:33:06 Scary. Speaker 1 00:33:07 You do, you do what you gotta do. Yeah. Bobby Lee, he's, he's a, he's a one of a guy. He actually called me yesterday. He just called me out of the blue. Why? Speaker 2 00:33:15 Just to talk. Speaker 1 00:33:15 He said, don't start no shit. Won't be no shit. <laugh>. And I was like, what's up Bobby Lee, how you doing? Speaker 4 00:33:20 He straight, every bus driver we have for some odd reason, makes friends with Burrell and just calls Speaker 1 00:33:25 Him randomly. Well, it's part of the tour manager. Bus driver died. I Speaker 2 00:33:28 How much Cookie would fuck with Burrell? I thought that was So Speaker 4 00:33:31 He did that. Uh, well I can't say what Cookie did the other, the last time we saw him with Tracy Lawrence. But he walked on her bus <laugh> and he went straight to a person's bunk. And it was just, yeah, Speaker 1 00:33:42 He went, he went and he found Terry. He got reacquainted with Terry real quick. <laugh>, Speaker 3 00:33:47 I don't want to know, Speaker 1 00:33:48 But, but like yeah, the bus, I mean, I feel like you have to be a character to be a to, uh, though we did have Austin for one weekend. Austin was super chill. He was like 35 young dude. Good hang. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>. Yeah. Chilled out. Slept during the day and then drove at night. He wasn't like up randomly. Like there's some bus drivers, you'll Yeah, middle of the show. You'll turn around and there'll be a bus driver just, just next to you. Be like, what's up man? I'd be like, motherfucker, you're supposed to be sleeping. Speaker 2 00:34:15 Dude. That was our first friend Sprinter Speaker 1 00:34:17 Driver was like, bro, we gotta drive Speaker 2 00:34:18 In front of that. Speaker 3 00:34:19 Listen to this <laugh>. Speaker 2 00:34:21 He didn't sleep. He wouldn't sleep. He like wouldn't sleep. Speaker 3 00:34:23 And then in the middle of the show I was coming, I was in the phone pit and I was coming up to Speaker 2 00:34:27 Shoot from the stage. On stage we're on Speaker 3 00:34:28 And he's on stage with his iPhone taking Speaker 2 00:34:31 Pictures on the, on on Jamie's Speaker 3 00:34:33 Drummer, on drum Speaker 2 00:34:34 On, gets up on Jamie's mizer and starts taking pictures. Speaker 3 00:34:37 I was off of my stage like, get away. Speaker 2 00:34:40 I didn't even know. Speaker 1 00:34:42 Geez. Yeah. It's so bad. That's yeah. That's, that's pretty, that's pretty brutal. But yeah, the bus drivers are like, are, um, I, I personally enjoy him. Like, I enjoy listening to the story. Cause like Bobby Lee for example, he started driving. He's from, he said he's from Auburn, but his address is in Georgia. So he is like one of those weird Oh, Speaker 2 00:35:00 Phoenix East Speaker 1 00:35:00 Alabama West. It's like Phoenix City, Georgia. Yeah, like Phoenix City. And then he like lived in Pensacola. He started driving buses in like the eighties. So like, cuz for one of his first gigs was Metallica. He drove for Metallica. Oh. For six years. He drove for like all these random, so it's like you hear the stories, but then there's other times where it's like, cuz on this thing, it was like, uh, the week that we had him was when Trey had that raids retreat thing going on. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>. And so he's up in the front with um, was John Pierce, Matt McVee and, uh, Adam Craig. So they're in the front lounge before the Kid Rock shows, like trying to write songs. And Bobby Lee come on the bus and just start going all Bobby Lee. And so start talking Bobby Lee. So start talking and talking. He says good time, good tour. Bobby Lee. Um, he has all these like, crazy sayings. He loves catering. He's an animal. But I had to like, I had to, he loves catering. I, I was, he loves Speaker 2 00:35:46 Catering. He's an animal. Speaker 1 00:35:47 I was in the, I was in the back lounge like doing, doing work. I'm doing my like daily tm. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>, Trey Lewis worked and I get a text from Trey, like, yo, you gotta come get Bobby Lee. We're trying to write. So I had to run up there. I had to like grab Bobby Lee, take him off the bus, pretty like go And like, I had to like occupy this, occupy him, you know. So it's like, you gotta do what you gotta do. Like you meet crazy production people on the road too. Like different house guys. We had Speaker 3 00:36:12 Sugar Plum and Popcorn. Sugar Speaker 2 00:36:14 Popcorn. Who is Sugar Speaker 1 00:36:15 Plum Speaker 2 00:36:16 Name Plum. That was our first show with Randy. That was our first show of the year. He said my, the name Sugar Plum, Speaker 3 00:36:21 He said, my name is Plum, but you can call me Sugar Speaker 2 00:36:23 P Plump. He said, my name is Plum, but you can call me Sugar Plumb. Speaker 3 00:36:26 And then Popcorn. And he kept walking into the green room and he was like, I need to meet Randy Houser. And we were like, popcorn. I, he's not back. We hadn't Speaker 2 00:36:33 Even met. We, we had met Randy, we met. Speaker 1 00:36:35 It's not our apartment buddy. Not Speaker 3 00:36:36 My pay grade. And like every 15 minutes he'd come into the Green room and be Is Randy back Speaker 2 00:36:40 Here? Yeah. He'd be like, is Randy in here? I need to meet him. Speaker 3 00:36:43 <laugh>. I don't know if he ever met Randy. There's no telling. Speaker 2 00:36:45 No. But yeah, no, this weekend we had some interesting production guys. Speaker 1 00:36:50 You always meet interesting characters. Speaker 2 00:36:53 Yeah. If you, well it's just like right now we're not self-contained, so we're Speaker 1 00:36:58 Using Oh yeah. Speaker 2 00:36:59 You guys we're using, well Davis is now running our front of house, but we're still using production, whoever it is to run our ear, to run our ears Speaker 1 00:37:06 And use the, and using their console. Mm-hmm. Speaker 2 00:37:09 <affirmative> using their console. We have our own rack and ears and everything, but they still mix it for us. <laugh>, it just hits a lot sometimes. Some days it's really good. And some days sound check lasts three and a half hours. Speaker 1 00:37:23 Yeah. Speaker 2 00:37:24 No shit. That's how long our sound check was on Speaker 1 00:37:27 Saturday. We, we've had, we've Yeah, you run, you run, you'll, you'll have those sometimes, you know. Yeah. Those are Speaker 2 00:37:31 All levels. My favorite is when, my favorite is when they um, when they mix up whose ears or who. So I'll be like, I need some more guitar. And then he'll like turn it up in my guitar player's ears and he is like, wow, I'm deaf. Thank you. <laugh> Well i's been good. I would say overall we've had really good luck Speaker 1 00:37:46 With. How many shows do you think you've done this year? Speaker 3 00:37:48 I think we're right under, uh, almost a hundred I think this year. Speaker 2 00:37:52 <laugh> it's only October. Yeah. Wait, is it Speaker 1 00:37:56 October? It's about to be October. It'll be when this episode comes out. It's last week in September. Okay. So it's pretty much October. And do you guys have a lot coming up here the next couple Speaker 2 00:38:03 Months? No, I'm about, I'm taking two months off. I have two shows we're doing, um, jab Fest with Josh Abbott. Um, Speaker 1 00:38:10 My boy Tyler Albertson's on that. I know too. You guys are gonna have a good time Speaker 2 00:38:13 Out out there. And then we have a, um, private party the day back in Nashville, but Nice. Other than that's the only two shows I have for the rest of the year because I'm gonna write record. Yeah. Get some damn music Speaker 1 00:38:25 Out your ass. Signed a fucking record deal and killed Speaker 2 00:38:28 It. Signed the deal, baby. Speaker 1 00:38:30 What's that all been like? Speaker 2 00:38:32 Insane. Speaker 1 00:38:32 It's like you're literally living your dream. Yeah. Speaker 2 00:38:35 Some days it ha doesn't register in my brain. Well it's, Speaker 1 00:38:38 Well it probably shouldn't because if you're thinking about then that's where you can get overwhelmed and get caught up in it all. Like, it's just, it probably just feels natural cuz it is natural. It's what you're supposed to Speaker 2 00:38:46 Be doing. Well, I think this year has just been like a, a big year for everything. You know, I, my first real year of touring, you know, first tour, um, Speaker 1 00:38:57 With a bunch of different people, Speaker 2 00:38:59 Bunch of different people Speaker 1 00:39:00 In long segments with each Speaker 2 00:39:01 Yeah. And um, you know, uh, signed a record deal, hired business management, did all that. It's like what I, I've done it all now, you know, ready to go. I just gotta put music out. Yeah. So it's just like, um, it's lots of changes this year. Speaker 1 00:39:18 Yeah. And you've been probably writing more than you ever have you, have you still found time to write a lot with all the touring you've done? Or is that kinda Speaker 2 00:39:24 Difficult? No, for sure. Um, I mean, I usually still try to write the days that I'm home. Um, but, uh, that's why I'm taking off all October and November pretty much to just do that. It's hard to be gone all weekend and you're exhausted or you've been gone for like two weeks and you get home and it's like that writing a song takes a lot out of your brain. Like, I'm tired after I Speaker 1 00:39:45 Do. And, and writing a song to where it's like you're at the level now where you're right. You're, you're, you're right. You have, you're not just looking to put out like your, your first song as like the kid out of Auburn. Like, like you were doing a few years ago. You're getting paid to do this now. Yeah. Like you have an audience that's like, we can't wait to hear Ella Langley's next song. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>. So there's a lot more effort that goes into it, you know? Yeah. Like in your head to where it's like, it it is, it is work and like it is. It is. Yeah. It is a lot. And you're going in rooms with different people or track guys. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>. I know you've got, you work with uh, will Bundy a lot now, right? Well, yeah, Speaker 2 00:40:19 He's, he's, he's producing me now. Oh shit. Mm-hmm. Speaker 1 00:40:21 <affirmative>. That's a big deal. Congrats on that. That's huge. He's badass. He Speaker 2 00:40:25 Produced, um, damn You. Hey mom Made it. And then this next one we're about to put out Country Boys Dream Girl. Hell, Speaker 1 00:40:30 I'm a big fan of that one. Thank you. I like that one a lot. I'm excited. I remember at the house, I always like to do it and it, it, um, pisses my, um, my girlfriend Holly off like, uh, you have a girlfriend? I do. I do. My days of the critters are over McElroy McElroy's about to be on the prowl. How Speaker 2 00:40:45 Long have you had a girlfriend? Speaker 1 00:40:46 Um, we met in January and then we're like, kinda like on and off and then I think about a month now <laugh>. So it's been good. Speaker 2 00:40:55 One of my favorite things, me and Trey were laughing about this one time we were having girl issues. I remember we were coming off the road and we had been on the road all weekend and we had been on in the van all day. We'd get there and we're everyone's half asleep crawling out and someone wasn't texting you back and you were kind of upset about it. And Mc Wayne was like, dude, she's not gonna text you back. Speaker 1 00:41:18 You mc is Speaker 4 00:41:19 Like love. So we did talk about this in one of the episodes not too long ago that you mentioned. And I remember you couldn't think of what it was and I was just like, that ain't it. It was hilarious. That just ain't it. That Speaker 2 00:41:31 Ain't it. Speaker 1 00:41:33 Wellm Wayne, the the guys in our crew, I mean, they're, they're not, they're all like, Bri don't fall in love. It's just you. They don't wanna settle down until you're 30. Enjoy being in your twenties and singles. You have, I Speaker 2 00:41:44 Must stay single forever. Speaker 1 00:41:45 Go out there and just get after it. Have fun. I gonna Speaker 2 00:41:47 Stay single for forever. And Speaker 1 00:41:49 Then, but my thing was, I was like, I'm, I'm in a, I'm in a good spot now. There's less, there's less your own less stress, you know, personally for me, your own, you know, for me. But yeah, I do remember that. That was, um, back in March, I wanna say of last year. Speaker 2 00:42:03 Yeah. Speaker 1 00:42:04 Of 2021. Do you believe it's almost the end of 2022. That's crazy. Speaker 2 00:42:08 This year feels like, what the fuck? It wasn't the whole year. And then it also feels like it was two years. It's like I've Speaker 3 00:42:12 Lived like eight lifetimes Speaker 2 00:42:13 In this one year. I'm not the, uh, I'm a different human from the beginning of this year to Speaker 1 00:42:17 Now. It's, it's wild. But yeah, what I was saying was, I remember being in your living room. What I was saying, what I was saying. See, I'm, I'm sounding more and more, more what Speaker 2 00:42:24 I, what I was, Speaker 1 00:42:25 Sorry. Sounding more Alabama, more, uh, down home country. Alabama, every day I say Ghana. Ghana, I say, y'all, Speaker 2 00:42:32 Y'all. Speaker 1 00:42:33 I I just talk with this guy. I text gun. Speaker 2 00:42:35 I'm gonna do that gunna Speaker 1 00:42:36 With a g. With a u Speaker 2 00:42:38 G o n g o n n a. Speaker 1 00:42:40 Oh, I've always said that. Go. It's been, yeah, I've always said, I've always said it like that, but I've, now I'm saying it like more, I go home to New York now my friends are like, bro, you sound like a fucking hick. This, this. And I'm like, like, damn, Speaker 2 00:42:50 This weekend it's happening. I, we were driving somewhere. I don't, you weren't, Kaylee wasn't with us this past weekend, but we were driving somewhere and I said something like, I feel something about a bush hog. And I said, that's him. I just got a bush hog and my, my, I was driving in, my bass player was in passenger seat and he's like, from New York. What? He's from New York. He said, what is a bush hog? No, no, no. I said something. He's like, what does that word mean? I said, Bush hog. He was like, yeah, I don't know what that is. Yeah, Speaker 1 00:43:15 I didn't know what it was. Oh. Speaker 2 00:43:16 So I had to explain it. And they also tried bowled peanuts for the first time. Bold, bold peanuts. Yeah. Speaker 1 00:43:21 I like boiled peanuts. They're good. Speaker 2 00:43:23 Yeah. My drummer couldn't understand what I was saying. <laugh>. He said, I said bowl peanuts. He was like, what? Speaker 1 00:43:30 Like bold, bold. Like b o l d. It sounds like you're saying bold peanuts. Like these peanuts are fucking bold, Speaker 2 00:43:36 Bold peanuts that, how do you say it Matt? Bold Speaker 1 00:43:38 Peanuts. Bold peanuts. Speaker 2 00:43:40 Bold water. Bold peanuts. Speaker 1 00:43:42 So you, so your bowl rice in a, in a pot Speaker 2 00:43:46 Yeah. Bowl. Put a little oil in there. <laugh>. Speaker 1 00:43:50 Yeah. Yeah. That's <laugh>. Jesus Christ. But, um, Speaker 2 00:43:56 Any zel, what are you saying? I I keep interrupting you. Speaker 1 00:44:01 I don't know. I don't know. Speaker 2 00:44:02 I I'm not, I'm outta my mind. Speaker 1 00:44:04 No, we're having, we're Speaker 2 00:44:05 Having a, took a goodie before this. I took a goodies hangover powder and washed it down with a margarita Speaker 1 00:44:11 Goodies, hangover powder. That's Speaker 2 00:44:12 Yeah, they're good. Speaker 1 00:44:14 Are they like liquid iv? Like liquid IV kinda shit? Something like, Speaker 2 00:44:16 No, it's goodies. It's Speaker 1 00:44:18 No. But is it like the same concept? Like that's Speaker 3 00:44:20 Has like caffeine in it too. So it like, Speaker 1 00:44:22 It's like an So it really picks you up. Yeah, it's like an upper and then you hit it right again with the margarita. It was a lot. Speaker 3 00:44:28 It just coasted on. It was a lot. We were like sitting Speaker 1 00:44:30 There like you had six flags just Speaker 2 00:44:31 Until, wasn't in nothing. Like it downs coasting in, Speaker 1 00:44:34 Up and down. Well, I guess I gotta tell the story of how, how, how we met. Oh, yeah. Right? Speaker 2 00:44:38 Yes. I'm Speaker 1 00:44:38 So sorry. Sorry. We didn't get, we didn't, I thought Speaker 2 00:44:40 In and out girl. I Speaker 1 00:44:41 Was like, if we didn't, if we didn't get there, Ella would make this, this go all the way over with the whole episode. Speaker 2 00:44:45 I'll start all the way over. <laugh> all, we will re-record this whole episode. I'm gonna start being silly. Okay. So Speaker 1 00:44:52 <laugh>. So it was, you weren't, you've been silly for about the last hour. Speaker 2 00:44:56 You've been doing great. No, Matt Speaker 1 00:44:58 <laugh>. Um, so it was Austin, Texas. Speaker 2 00:45:02 Yes. Speaker 1 00:45:03 And it was when it was This was the this was, this was the day, this was the week Speaker 2 00:45:09 My I met. Speaker 1 00:45:11 Yeah. Then this was when, um, Matt, this is when the Rooster Man and Austin peed on the side of the bandwagon while we were loading in. Speaker 4 00:45:18 So she had already met Ella when you Speaker 1 00:45:20 Met her? Yeah. Yeah. She just happened to have worked that co wezel show the week before. Speaker 4 00:45:24 Oh, I didn't know that. Yeah. I thought she met Ella after Speaker 1 00:45:27 No Speaker 2 00:45:27 Uhuh. It was literally within the same week. No, I met Kelly first. <laugh> <laugh>. Speaker 4 00:45:32 She, she, she's locked Speaker 2 00:45:34 Into you claimed in and out all. Speaker 1 00:45:36 Let me, let me see what the, come Speaker 2 00:45:37 On now. Test. I Speaker 1 00:45:38 Wanna, no, cause I wanna see when, what it was like, what the date was like. I'm looking in artist growth right now to see when it was. Cuz it was, was it the summer? It Speaker 2 00:45:45 Was July. Yeah. Speaker 1 00:45:46 It Speaker 2 00:45:46 Was hot. Yeah, Speaker 1 00:45:47 Because I remember we were, we had a good, that was a Speaker 2 00:45:50 You did. Speaker 1 00:45:51 So Speaker 2 00:45:52 I heard <laugh>. Speaker 1 00:45:54 Well, so it was wild. It was not in Austin. It was wild. Um, so it was a wild Greg's in Austin. Speaker 2 00:46:02 Oh boy. Speaker 1 00:46:02 It's a wild Greg. It's his latest location. Wild, wild. Greg. Um, it's his latest location in, um, in Austin, Texas. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>. So it had just opened, so we're like the kickball. It had kind of opened. It was Austin. So Covid was still very much a thing at that time. Yeah. July, 2021. But wild Greg, as you know, he's, he, nobody's done. He's wild. Nobody's gonna tell wild Greg what to do. And he's gonna file a lawsuit against any city. I mean, any city that tells him his customers have to wear a mask. So he was in the middle of one of those disputes wasn't, and uh, we went on at what, like 1130 that night. That was a late fucking show. Speaker 2 00:46:35 Matt. Just get to how you met Kayleigh. Fuck. We're Speaker 1 00:46:38 Getting there. We're getting Speaker 2 00:46:38 There. What does this have to do with that? Speaker 1 00:46:40 This, cuz this is the whole day because it, it ends, it matters. We have to Speaker 2 00:46:44 Get there. Okay. Sorry. We're Speaker 1 00:46:45 Getting there. Keep going little by little. So Yeah, it was a late show that night, I think. McElroy, right? Speaker 4 00:46:49 Uh, I'm pretty sure. Speaker 1 00:46:50 Yeah. It was a late show. Wild, because that was the wild Greg's where he is. Got the, he's got the dancing poles upstairs. Speaker 4 00:46:54 Yep. And I met the space girl. Speaker 1 00:46:56 Yeah. And you were hanging out with the girl from nasa. Yeah, McElroy was hanging out with a girl that worked at nasa. Seems a space girl. He had a great time. Uh, but anyway, so we were, so we were in the, um, I was hanging out with Wild Gregg and then, um, I went in the, um, the back area. There was a couple, um, having some fun in the bathroom together. Speaker 2 00:47:16 Oh, I remember that. So Speaker 1 00:47:17 Well I wasn't there, but I, so one thing least to, so I see, oh, by the way, Aaron Judge Aaron Judge just made history. He said his 61st Homer of the year. I, I know you guys don't care about that, but I do. So shout dare Judge. Go Yankees. No breaks. Uh, but anyway, back to it. So Kaylee, um, is sitting there with her, with her friends and I noticed that her friends are getting their food. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>. Yeah. Hers did not come out. And I was like making eye contact with her, like looking over there being like, this girl hasn't gotten her food. Like, so I'm, I'm chilling. We're, we had our, we had our, we had our post show like hanging out before In and Out. Went in there super hungry and um, super hungry. Super hungry. And then, and then I look munchies, you know, fuck it. Um, and we, um, fuck it. So, so we're, so we're, we're hanging out and then we're like making eye contact back and forth. And I look at like Mitch and Terry and then my gosh. And I'm like, and well, I think I said some, did I say something? Speaker 3 00:48:15 I think so. Speaker 1 00:48:16 I know Speaker 3 00:48:17 About the fact that I didn't have food for 30 minutes. Yeah. Speaker 1 00:48:19 We were in there for 30 minutes and her friends had finished the meals and Kayleigh's just never Kayleigh's Burger just never showed up. So I like made some kind of comment to her or whatever. And then we went outside and proceeded to light a cigarette and, and was talking to Terry and Mitch and them. And I was like, guys, I think I should go in there and, and get this girl's number. And Terry and Mitch are like, no man, she's in Texas. You'll never see her again. She'll be dead Dia just forget it. Fuck it for just leave it. And I'm like, all right, fuck it. But she's, we're Speaker 2 00:48:48 Done. But she's never nevermind, go Speaker 1 00:48:49 Ahead. So I'm like, fuck it, whatever. So then, so then I get back to the bandwagon. I proceed. Proceed. Cause Speaker 3 00:48:54 You had on the whale tail hat. That was the whole thing. Speaker 1 00:48:57 So I get back to, I get, I'm gonna pull it up. Um, so I get back to, um, the bandwagon and proceed to tell them everybody about the Wild Greg story. Um, about the, uh, about Speaker 2 00:49:08 You taking a shit next to <laugh>. Yeah. Speaker 1 00:49:10 About, about the Fumigation. Um, and um, and um, I see if I could pull on a wifi in his ass, but I remember getting in my bunk and then seeing a message on my phone and being like, oh shit, what's this? And it was a message from Kayleigh on my Instagram. She found Speaker 2 00:49:32 You slid in a d <laugh>. She Speaker 1 00:49:34 Slid in to my dms. Speaker 2 00:49:37 I didn't know this part, Speaker 3 00:49:38 The story. Cause I, I had just followed whales and like whale tail. She, Speaker 1 00:49:42 She recognized me from the wa the whale tail takeover. Yeah. Was like, the week before was that was also that Speaker 3 00:49:46 Week. So don't look at me like that <laugh>. Speaker 1 00:49:49 Yeah. So yeah. I Speaker 2 00:49:50 Don't know what you're talking about. It's just how I look. <laugh>. Speaker 1 00:49:54 Yeah, we're like back in. I'm into like July. I'm gonna find what it exactly said. Cause it's funny. Oh, Speaker 3 00:49:59 I, uh, Speaker 1 00:49:59 Ooh. July 25th, 2021 Speaker 2 00:50:01 On D Speaker 3 00:50:02 Please. DM read. I'm scared. Please read it. Please don't. Speaker 1 00:50:03 Okay. Read it out loud. This is so Capitals capital S So this is so weird Hear <laugh>, but were you at, but were you at In and Out tonight? I'm a photographer and I follow Whale Tale and swore I recognized you off their page. And then I just put it together when I saw your hat. So literally it was because of the whale Tail hat. It was her being a photographer in the southeast wanting to get into the country music scene. Mm-hmm. <affirmative> and her. Were you just, was it a girls' weekend? Yeah, in Austin. It was just a girls' weekend in Austin. We just happened to be playing Lyle Greg's and then literally just in, in and Out. Not even in, in and Out together in line at Inn Out. Me looking at her feeling bad cuz her food isn't shown up. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>. And then she fucking, yeah. So that's how I met Kaylee. Power of Speaker 2 00:50:48 Where you go. Kevin <laugh> just sliding in dms <laugh> Speaker 1 00:50:54 Wild. Um, but um, but yeah. And then do you remember the, um, mechanic? Speaker 3 00:51:00 Oh yeah. Yeah. Speaker 2 00:51:01 You slid in his dms too? No, Speaker 3 00:51:03 No, no, no, no, no, Speaker 1 00:51:05 No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. The mechanic was drinking though. Yeah. It was a weird Don't do that. It was, Speaker 2 00:51:11 What do you mean don't do that? Speaker 3 00:51:12 <laugh> don't come for me on this podcast right now. We're not arguing today. Speaker 2 00:51:19 We're not arguing. Speaker 3 00:51:20 Not today. Speaker 2 00:51:21 Okay. Speaker 3 00:51:22 <laugh> <laugh>. Speaker 1 00:51:24 So naturally Kaylee comes up to, comes up to visit, shake out Nashville. So he comes up and we're driving in my, my at the time, my cev, my Chevy Equinox. Mm-hmm. <affirmative> windshield wipers. Stop working. Yeah. They freeze in like the middle of the windshield and stop working. And so I'm like, what the fuck do I do? So we go to like advance or whatever. Nobody had 'em. They were like, there's a mechanic shop. This is in like what Nolensville Burial not a place you really want to be going to a and it's a mechanic that's open at like 2 33 in the morning. It's like a chop shop. Mm-hmm. <affirmative> pretty much. And nobody in the, it's a bunch of carriages. And there was that old guy with like his, there was like a little kid running around. Yeah. Speaker 3 00:52:02 They were feeding. They gave me Dragon fruit. Speaker 1 00:52:04 Yeah. They fed her fruit <laugh>. We sat in this fucking car for them waiting to fix. Cuz apparently there was like You ate Speaker 3 00:52:12 It? Yeah. Speaker 1 00:52:12 Oh yeah. I ate it too. It didn't kill us. It was actually pretty good. It was refreshing. Yeah. Speaker 3 00:52:16 It was a nice one. It was like a grandma. Like she wasn't gonna Oh it wasn't like an old man. It was like a Speaker 2 00:52:22 <laugh>. I just always heard you don't take food from strangers. Speaker 3 00:52:25 Okay. Well my mom Speaker 1 00:52:26 Would be disappointed. Well, yeah. Yeah. It was, it was. And then we ended up going, uh, I think Speaker 2 00:52:29 I thought that was gonna be funnier last night. Speaker 1 00:52:31 <laugh>. And then we went to Scoreboards and then Speaker 3 00:52:35 Red Door Speaker 1 00:52:36 Losers. And then Red Dogs. Cause we were out with Nikki T and them. Yeah. Nikki t was getting wild. Yeah. Speaker 3 00:52:42 Yeah. He kept yelling at me cause I wouldn't finish my drink. And it was just like literal, like, you drink this much tequila in this drink. And I thought I was gonna die. Nick, Speaker 2 00:52:49 I don't finish any drink ever. No, Speaker 3 00:52:51 Not anymore. Speaker 2 00:52:51 It's like a no no. It's like Speaker 3 00:52:53 An She has no used. You Speaker 1 00:52:54 Used to. No, Speaker 3 00:52:55 I mean, no, not when we drink. She'll drink mean we Speaker 2 00:52:57 Were hung over today. Yeah, I finished that. But like beer, I don't, I usually leave like this much at on the bottom. I don't drink it. Well, Speaker 3 00:53:04 We'll go get coffee in the morning and she will drink this much of it. Like we'll go to Starbucks and she will get a venti and she will drink this much of it every day. Speaker 2 00:53:11 She's, but I'll get three different drinks cuz I need to have options, you know? Yeah. Like I needed to juice Speaker 3 00:53:15 Then drink that Speaker 2 00:53:16 Much. Usually in the morning. She loves Speaker 3 00:53:17 Juice. Big juice girl. Speaker 2 00:53:18 Big juice girl. <laugh>. Speaker 1 00:53:20 You and Trey used to order from the juice place. Yeah. Remember? Speaker 2 00:53:24 I remember he said, he said, are you getting a Blamy Speaker 1 00:53:26 Lamy? Are you getting a Blamy? Lamy? Yeah. Yeah, yeah. And he said, because I remember I'd have to come over in the morning to do whatever with him. We love DoorDash. And then, and then there was fucking I I've carried your guys' Uber Eats and DoorDash orders from the street to your fucking door before. Because I'll get there the same time as the delivery guy. I'll be like, I'll just break it up there. Speaker 2 00:53:44 We love it there. <laugh>, DoorDash is our favorite. Speaker 1 00:53:47 Uhhuh. It's just funny. Um, which crew? Um, partied the most? Don't you guys have been out with about five or six Speaker 2 00:53:54 Co Speaker 1 00:53:56 No, you Speaker 2 00:53:57 Never turned Randy. Randy, Speaker 1 00:53:58 I was gonna say scare me out. I was gonna say, I feel like Randy's a dark, I don't know. I remember years ago they had a, they had a thing on Bobby Bones with like, who are the, who are the country artists you'd like to have on your side for a bar fight? Yeah. And Randy Hauser was number one on the list. And this was like four or five years ago. Yeah. Yeah. So I know Randy can time. I'm saying Randy Speaker 2 00:54:16 Now. Well, I think with co like they're very open about how they are and so you kind of expect it, Speaker 3 00:54:22 But you'll end up so hungover. I mean there is literally, we had one show, I think in like Ohio and there's pictures of Ella and I the next morning, like throwing up outside of the van, like separate occasions throughout that entire day. And that was the same day our tire blew out. We on a trailer, Speaker 2 00:54:38 We used a base amp. We Speaker 3 00:54:39 Were violently hungover on the side of the road on a Sunday. And it was just the worst day we ever, Speaker 2 00:54:43 Ever had. We used a base amp to jack up the trailer cuz we didn't have a Jack. Wow. We had to take everything outta the trailer on the side of the interstate in like a hundred degree weather. Speaker 1 00:54:52 I think I remember texting you guys when this happened. Yeah. Because I remember seeing it on, on uh, on Instagram and stuff. Yeah. My first time meeting Co was, we did a post Christmas, like pre end of December thing with musket on. It was in Ardmore, Oklahoma and in Dallas. And showing Ardmore. I didn't really see, we got there a little late. Didn't really see co that much. But then we get pulled to the place in Dallas. This is December of 2019. So it was pre Covid, like just before Covid. And I remember pulling up in the sprinter and looking out the window, be like, who's this like homeless guy and like very short gym shorts and no shoes on and a, and a cigarette or a joint and a bottle of Jack Daniels. And then Charlie rolls down the window and is like, what's up Co? And I'm like, oh shit. There we go. Yeah. Speaker 2 00:55:42 <laugh>, I don't know, we just kind of fit. But Speaker 1 00:55:44 Back then it was like, I think, I think it's different now. Like back back then was when they were first they were doing, they were like selling out like clubs. Yeah. Back then. Now it's like Speaker 2 00:55:51 A whole random, well I met them when I was still gonna Auburn Speaker 1 00:55:55 When they were playing at what? Like they Speaker 2 00:55:57 Played Bourbon Street. Speaker 1 00:55:57 Oh wow. Speaker 2 00:55:58 Way back. Yeah. And that's when Dre, who's now his TM was his drummer. Speaker 1 00:56:01 Yeah. Dre was the drummer back when I saw him too. Speaker 2 00:56:03 Drummer. Yeah. And I, I met CO and then I met Dre and then Dre was like, we got tattoos on her ass and then showed me his tattoo and then I was like, cool. <laugh>. And then that's how it started. Yeah. Yeah. Now we're all best buds. Great. Speaker 1 00:56:19 Yeah. Yeah. What was the um, Jamie Johnson tour like, especially you being you guys both being from the Montgomery area, like being Alabama people, like that's gotta be really cool. That's somebody that you've probably looked up to and been listening to your whole life. Speaker 2 00:56:31 Yeah. Well it was cool how I got the tour to, um, I met him when we played the Ryman with Randy Speaker 1 00:56:40 Because him and Randy are tight. Right. Speaker 2 00:56:42 That's Buds. Um, and so he brought Jamie to come do like a cowboy with him or I can't remember what song he did. I think he did. It was like, yeah. Yeah. It was a few. But anyways, but Jamie's from Montgomery obviously. And so looked up to him for a long time and I, I get, you know, it's scary to like, you don't wanna be weird around the headline or you wanna be cool about it. Yeah. And I was like, but I'm gonna go up and shake his hand. Like I just wanna shake his hand. I went up to him, I was like, Hey Jamie, I'm Ella Langley, I just wanted to shake your hand and say you're badass. And he was like, thanks. And that was the whole conversation. And then, um, that week Randy text me and he said, can I give Jamie Johnson your number? And I said, yes you can. And uh, he texted me and he was like, do you wanna go to dinner? And I said, yeah, I do. He walked up to our house, walked in, saw my deer. He's like, that's an Alabama deer. And I was like, yeah, I know Speaker 1 00:57:32 <laugh>. That's an Alabama deer. Yeah, I know. Drove, Speaker 2 00:57:34 We went to dinner and asked me to go on tour. Speaker 1 00:57:36 How, how did he know That's an Alabama deer? I guess just, you know, because Speaker 2 00:57:40 It's fucked up looking. Speaker 1 00:57:42 He's like, that's an Alabama, did he now, did he know that you were from Yeah. The Montgomery area before that? Yeah. So you guys, Speaker 2 00:57:47 Well I told him, I think I told him that night maybe when I first met him that I was from Montgomery. So I looked up to him or whatever and just cool to meet him. Okay, cool. But then, yeah, he, yeah, that's how he asked me on tour was, uh, taking me to dinner. My one, uh, we were sitting there at dinner and this lady walks up to him. We had just sat down and this lady walks up and she's like, I'm so sorry to bother you, but my husband thinks you look exactly like Jamie Johnson. He goes, yeah, I get that a lot. And then she's like, sorry for bothering you. And then just walks off and then he, didn't he buy their dinner? Yeah. Yeah. But, uh, no, the tour was awesome because, uh, we gotta fly on his plane a lot. Which was sick. Speaker 1 00:58:26 The whole band? Speaker 2 00:58:26 No, no. Just me and Kayleigh <laugh>. Speaker 1 00:58:30 Hell yeah. Speaker 2 00:58:31 No, uh, it's just a small, tiny private plane. Yeah. But he was, he was a pilot. It's a really surreal thing to see Jamie Johnson, uh, fly. You're sitting there, you're sitting there ready to take off and you're just watching Jamie Johnson get ready to fly you around the country. <laugh> Speaker 1 00:58:49 Does he wear, does he wear like the, the headset? Oh yeah. He's serious. And like, is he like talking, he's Speaker 2 00:58:53 Got his commercial license Speaker 1 00:58:55 And is he like talking to like the, the, um, the command? Like the command strip or like whatever, like he's like Yeah, he has like Speaker 2 00:59:01 A co-pilot Speaker 1 00:59:01 And they, it's like serious. He's like saying shit and flipping the switches on. Yeah. And like, yeah, like he full on like Speaker 2 00:59:07 He's Flo he, he goes, he uses it to every show. Every show. So he fly, he, he, um, sometimes if it's close enough, he'll fly to the show, get out, do the show immediately walks off stage, gets into a car, into his car and gets to the plane and flies. Speaker 1 00:59:25 Yeah. That's what Bob does. Yeah. That's, that's what Kira Speaker 2 00:59:28 Does. I mean, walks right off stage. Yeah. And he's like, Speaker 1 00:59:31 Peace. Y'all got this. I'll see you next. See, see you tomorrow. Speaker 2 00:59:34 Yeah. But it was awesome cuz we got outta that sprinter. Yeah. Like, we gotta go home for two days. And the guys had to stay out in the Airbnb. Speaker 1 00:59:42 Think of all the work, all the lifting that went on with those three. Speaker 3 00:59:47 All the lifting, Speaker 1 00:59:48 All the lifting going on all the planet fitness sessions. Yeah. They probably spend all day there. Speaker 2 00:59:52 Probably. They will. They will if you like that. He will waste all, they will waste some day. Speaker 3 00:59:55 Cause we'll all go together and like, we'll stay for like an hour, an hour and a half. Yeah. Like everyone gets their workout in and we're like, all right. Like everyone's gonna head back and they'll be like, not done yet. And I'm like, it's, we've been Speaker 2 01:00:04 Here for It's cause they walk around and talk. They're meander. They, they, they meander and look at theirselves in the mirror and <laugh> talk about everything. <laugh>. They do. Speaker 4 01:00:14 Might have to explain Meander to Burrell. That's another Speaker 1 01:00:17 Southern term. No meandering around. Just like hanging around listening or like, um, just Speaker 3 01:00:22 Dilly Speaker 1 01:00:23 Dly. Yeah. Dilly dabbling. Yeah. I'm proud of you. Speaker 4 01:00:25 You're starting to learn it. Speaker 1 01:00:26 They're pit well meandering I think is an actual like Sat T word. Think that's a word. Word. Meanderings actually a word that's on the SATs. McElroy point. <laugh>. I was like, oh, think that's a southern word. That that's not, not no piddling backwards. Snake church bullshit. That's Speaker 2 01:00:39 In the dictionary. Speaker 1 01:00:40 That's actually the dictionary, not Speaker 2 01:00:41 The urban Speaker 1 01:00:41 One. Yeah. Piddling around. Ain't in the dictionary. One dictionary. I'll, I'll find it. I'd say me Meanderings real. That's a Speaker 3 01:00:47 Meandering is a word. Speaker 1 01:00:48 Google it. Go for it. Meandering, piddling arounds in the the Alabama state dictionary. Not piddling around. Yeah. Piddling. Yeah. You got Speaker 2 01:00:55 Quit piddling Speaker 1 01:00:56 Around. That's what they're doing. They're pid They were thinking Speaker 2 01:00:58 They PID around. Yeah. Or quit horsing around. Speaker 1 01:00:59 Horsing around. I've heard. But piddling around piddling. Piddling around was one of our, uh, word of the weeks with, uh, with Trey on DM Monday. Really? I had to learn what it was. Speaker 2 01:01:08 My, uh, my favorite thing that me and Kayleigh have recently been doing is, um, <laugh>. She writes down the random shit that I say. Speaker 1 01:01:16 Oh, perfect. Speaker 2 01:01:16 Yeah. Perfect. So it's a whole, Speaker 3 01:01:20 It's Speaker 1 01:01:20 Got, Speaker 3 01:01:21 Some of these are like only probably funny to us just, but we'll see. Let me see what we got. Speaker 2 01:01:26 It's kind of funny to go back, Speaker 3 01:01:27 I'm sure. Okay, so there's pictures with some of them. So I'll, I can show those. We woke up after playing like the Sweatiest show outside that Luke Comb show in my dad's house in Atlanta. And she looks, she sits up and she looks at me and she goes, I look majestic. And this is how she looked. <laugh>. Speaker 1 01:01:44 Oh, that is majestic. That's like lying king shit. <laugh> Speaker 2 01:01:48 Eyes were swollen. Speaker 1 01:01:50 Yeah. Speaker 3 01:01:51 Um, Speaker 1 01:01:52 That was the one you went to the, you played in the pickup truck, right? Yeah. Comb Speaker 2 01:01:55 Show. Yeah. There was, uh, our show we got like halfway through and it, uh, started lightning. So everyone went to the parking garage. And I, but Speaker 1 01:02:02 That had to be like a badass, intimate kind of Speaker 2 01:02:04 Thing. It cool. I think I weighed, I made way more fans doing that then. Hell yeah. I would've just applied the shed Speaker 1 01:02:09 Normal. Hell yeah. What else we got? Speaker 3 01:02:10 Um, I wanna take a little tiger snooze. Do you wanna know what I don't feel like doing, taking a little tiger shower. I've never heard of a little tiger. Speaker 1 01:02:18 Anything. Well, it sounds like a before that sounds, oh, it sounds like a cat nap. Little Speaker 2 01:02:20 Tiger snooze Speaker 3 01:02:21 <laugh>. And she says it like that. Speaker 1 01:02:24 Say that again. Speaker 2 01:02:25 A little tiger. Snooze. Speaker 1 01:02:26 It's like nursery school Speaker 3 01:02:28 <laugh>. And then we were sitting, we got to go down to Biloxi, um, Speaker 1 01:02:32 Biloxi bi. Speaker 3 01:02:33 How do you say? Is that how you say? Speaker 1 01:02:35 That's how Fred dur that that's how Fred Durst says it, it a in a, in a, um, in a song with Erin Lewis. So I, I say Biloxi cuz the, the, the whole world doesn't know what Biloxi is, Speaker 3 01:02:45 You know, and she looks over to me, we're at the pool, like drinking cocktails. Like she has a pina colada and she looks over me. She goes, did you know I'm allergic to pineapple? Like while with the pineapple in her mouth, <laugh>. And I'm like, Speaker 1 01:02:56 Cause risking it all for Speaker 2 01:02:58 Taste. Do you remember mouth super itchy for like 30 minutes. <laugh>, Speaker 1 01:03:02 Do you know, did you know I'm allergic to this thing I'm about to eat. Speaker 3 01:03:05 And then she just, this was yesterday. The, if it's, if it's brown, it's down. If it flies, it dies. Yeah, Speaker 1 01:03:11 I've heard that before. Speaker 3 01:03:12 I've never heard that. Speaker 1 01:03:13 Yeah. If it's a deer, it's, it's down. If it's, Speaker 3 01:03:16 I've been hunting in my life. Speaker 1 01:03:17 Yeah. I, I knew I've I've even heard of that shit. Speaker 2 01:03:19 Kayleigh said, I wanna go hunting. I I do think I could kill a deer, but I'm gonna cry about it after I do Speaker 1 01:03:26 It. Oh, just have her film your film like an outdoor series. Series Speaker 3 01:03:29 And have her, but I wanna do it though. Like, I like feel like I can do it. I I might have to cry for Speaker 1 01:03:33 A minute, but, but, but also have the camera and get a, and I Speaker 2 01:03:36 Just don't think you should do Speaker 3 01:03:37 It. Speaker 2 01:03:38 Like, if you're gonna cry about it, Speaker 3 01:03:40 <laugh>. That's fair. That's fair. We'll see. We'll see. I wanna go dove hunting. That's Speaker 2 01:03:47 Fine. Speaker 1 01:03:47 You wanna see birds? Speaker 3 01:03:48 Yeah. Deer just seem too close to dogs. That's my problem. Speaker 1 01:03:52 No, but you're not eating dogs unless you go to that one Chinese restaurant, whether on Pike, Speaker 2 01:03:56 <laugh>. Yeah. Speaker 1 01:03:58 You, I feel like you grew up a similar way to where I grew up where you're like a suburb of, of Atlanta. I was a suburb of New York. Yeah. So, and they're like out there on like family compounds and shit. Speaker 3 01:04:08 Yeah. I grew up in Powder Springs. The only reason people know where that is is because that Travis Denning song. So like, I grew up, it's not like the country, but like, it was, it was suburbs. Suburbs suburb, but suburb. Both my parents suburb are from Michigan. Suburb. Suburb. Yeah. So like, and Speaker 2 01:04:20 My mom's from Michigan, which is cool. I mean, weird Speaker 1 01:04:24 <laugh> cool and weird. Speaker 3 01:04:25 Cool and weird. Yeah. So I'm not like, I'm born and raised in Georgia, but like, not super, super southern, I Speaker 1 01:04:32 Guess. Not country. Speaker 3 01:04:33 Not country. Speaker 1 01:04:34 Not country. Country. Speaker 2 01:04:36 <laugh>. It's not fair to, you know what I mean? I feel like I'm a little like Speaker 1 01:04:40 You're what? Speaker 2 01:04:41 A little extra about it. What Speaker 1 01:04:42 Do you mean? You're a little extra country Speaker 3 01:04:44 Boys' dream girl. Oh Speaker 1 01:04:45 Yeah. You are a country boy's dream. But that song's gonna be a fucking hit. I Speaker 2 01:04:47 Think my brain power is going away. That Speaker 1 01:04:49 Song's gonna be a fucking hit. I hope you know that. It, it, I really like that shit a lot. I remember when Trey first showed us in the van. Speaker 2 01:04:55 I'm pumped about it. It's Speaker 1 01:04:56 A really good song. Thank Speaker 2 01:04:57 You. Good song. Thank you. Yeah. Speaker 1 01:04:58 You've got, you've got a lot of cool shit coming down the pipe. Speaker 2 01:05:00 Oh yeah. Feel like after spending writing forever. Speaker 1 01:05:03 Yeah. Now with the world. Good to Speaker 2 01:05:05 Hear your songs ready to go. Yeah. Speaker 1 01:05:06 And it's gonna be a whole different experience now releasing a song on a record Speaker 2 01:05:10 Deal. Yeah. You know how nice it's gonna be that people actually can listen to my songs at before they see me live. So maybe they'll know the words. Yeah. There's like two that they know, but they, and people know the words do know the words, but that'd be cool to have more. Speaker 1 01:05:22 Yeah. How's the, how's the TikTok game in treating you? Speaker 2 01:05:26 Um, good. Good. It's hard. Speaker 1 01:05:29 Yeah. It's Speaker 2 01:05:30 Stressful. Yeah. Speaker 1 01:05:31 It's not like you signed up the right songs and sing music and play for, play music for people. Speaker 2 01:05:36 I don't know know. I mean, I think it's a social media, it's a great way to push Speaker 1 01:05:38 Things, but it's a great tool. I'm just saying like, I, I hear a lot of people say that it's stressful. Speaker 2 01:05:42 I think pe some people are just good at it and some people like, you've gotta learn to be good at it, you know? And I'm one of those social media. If I, if I did not do music, I wouldn't have it probably. Yeah. Speaker 1 01:05:56 I'd be out there just shaking doves, <laugh>, tor em around, Speaker 2 01:06:01 You know, like, Speaker 1 01:06:02 No, I wanna Speaker 2 01:06:03 Go hunting. You know that thing at football games. I was like, Speaker 1 01:06:06 Yeah, Speaker 2 01:06:06 That's kinda like what it is. But dead bird. Speaker 4 01:06:10 No. Hey, look, just think about that. Just think about this. All right. You're, you're going out hunting you. These deer have been raised on nothing but grass fed. They're eating what's in nature. You're buying that shit at the damn store. That shit's got antibiotics in it. All that other, you're eating fresh meat. Dove is really good too. Speaker 2 01:06:31 Dove is really good. I don't think I've Speaker 1 01:06:32 Ever eaten. Do Dove is good. I have had that. Oh, Speaker 2 01:06:34 If you, if you wrap it in bacon, cream cheese and Ooh, hot pops. Speaker 1 01:06:38 Ooh. Yeah, you can eat, you can eat it like a scallop or like a scallop. Oh, okay. Yeah. Yeah. Speaker 3 01:06:42 I've Speaker 2 01:06:42 Never had dove a church near our house. Does like a wild game Cookoff thing. It's like any type of wild game you can think of. And it's my favorite thing. Speaker 1 01:06:50 Possum raccoon. Small. Speaker 2 01:06:52 Uh, probably Speaker 1 01:06:53 <laugh>, miscellaneous Montgomery area. Speaker 2 01:06:55 Well, I mean, no, no, there's like other stuff, you know, like elk and bear and Oh, really? Speaker 1 01:07:00 Mm-hmm. <affirmative> bear's pretty good. I have had that Speaker 2 01:07:02 I haven't, Speaker 1 01:07:02 Bear is good. That's one thing that people shoot up north. Duck, duck duck tacos are really good. Yeah. Have you guys been to Louisiana? Speaker 2 01:07:10 Yeah, Speaker 3 01:07:11 Once. Speaker 1 01:07:11 Louisiana I think has the best. We Speaker 2 01:07:13 Just went this past weekend. Speaker 3 01:07:15 Oh yeah. We went once, I think one of our first KO shows was in, I can't say Speaker 2 01:07:19 Boer City. Speaker 1 01:07:19 Is it Boer City? Speaker 2 01:07:20 Say Boer. I Speaker 1 01:07:21 Said it wrong. It's in the Hardy song. Yeah. Speaker 3 01:07:23 Yeah. Speaker 1 01:07:23 Where you at? Speaker 2 01:07:25 Yeah, I, uh, before we go on stage, like I would say five seconds before I walk on stage, I turn around and like, panic, panic. I'm, but where are we? What city are we in? What city are you we in? Speaker 1 01:07:35 Do do you write it on the set list? Speaker 2 01:07:38 Yeah, but I don't look, I mean set. I'm far away. Speaker 1 01:07:41 Oh. It's like Speaker 3 01:07:41 An entrance. Entrance. So she has to know as she goes. Speaker 1 01:07:44 Trey, Trey has me, has had me the last two weeks, um, go out and speak on the microphone before he goes on. You've Speaker 2 01:07:51 Been interview. What do you say? Speaker 1 01:07:52 Like, tight man. What? Speaker 2 01:07:54 I could do that. I bet you killed that. Speaker 1 01:07:55 I actually, Trey, all the guys, that's the one thing they don't rip me on is going up on stage. They, everything else they rip me on everything else. But the 20 seconds that I'm on stage yelling at the crowd, Speaker 2 01:08:09 Are you really a band? If you don't make fun of everyone? Yeah. True. It's Speaker 3 01:08:11 Just a Speaker 1 01:08:12 Constant roast. No, no, it is. No, no, no. And well, I get, Speaker 2 01:08:15 Yeah, I get roasted every day of my life out there. Yeah. Every day of my life. Speaker 1 01:08:19 I bet you it's Ben that's roasting you Speaker 2 01:08:20 The most. They all do it. They all do it. Yeah. Speaker 3 01:08:22 It is mostly Ben though. I'd Speaker 2 01:08:24 Say. Yeah, Ben loves, like, Speaker 3 01:08:25 He loves me so much, but he will roast the shit outta you. Speaker 2 01:08:27 He just, he's kind of like Trey in the way where he just will say exactly what if he's thinking it, he's gonna Speaker 1 01:08:32 Say it. He's gonna say un unfiltered. Oh yeah. Speaker 2 01:08:34 Completely. Speaker 1 01:08:34 That's Speaker 3 01:08:35 Why I have to play hr. I'm HR of the band. Speaker 1 01:08:37 Oh, you're hr? Mm-hmm. <affirmative>. Yeah. Yeah. We have hr, we have an HR who Alex, I guess is technically hr even though he's not on the road all the time. But that's, he was our hr. Yeah. But he's also Trey's manager. So we just yell at him. Yeah. Give it to 'em. Um, yeah. But, um, but yeah, I've, I've gotten up and I'll say, what the fuck is up? Whatever city we're in. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>. So like, we're doing, we're going to Tuscaloosa next week. We're gonna be at Rounders. Be like, what the fuck is up Tuscaloosa? Like all that. And I'm gonna say, I always say, can I gotta Hell yeah. Hell yeah. Can I gotta fuck you. Fuck yeah. And then they always give me something to say or do. Like Trey and the guys this past one Trey gave me a stack of condoms. Did you just, and I had to hold them up and I had to say, ladies, he's single again. Again, again. And I had Speaker 2 01:09:26 Him, I told Rey condoms, I'm done being friends with his girlfriends. Done being friends with his parents. Speaker 1 01:09:30 Well, hopefully, I don't think you're gonna run into one for a while. Like, I think he's, I think he's, I think, I think he's taken a break from running around doing all that. Speaker 3 01:09:41 It's just a silence. Silence, Speaker 1 01:09:43 Silence. We're cut. We're cutting a lot of this episode out. But, um, but, um, but yeah, then, but I'm thinking with Tuscaloosa, I'm thinking of who wants to get who's, who's ready to, who wants to get railed out at Rounders? It's playing at Rounders. Yeah. And either tag teamed or tongue punched in T town. Speaker 2 01:10:00 Holy Speaker 3 01:10:04 God. Speaker 2 01:10:04 That's kind awesome. Speaker 1 01:10:05 It's the Trey. I mean, and Trey loves it. Speaker 2 01:10:07 Un punched. So I, you know how like Trey will change the words to songs constantly? Speaker 1 01:10:11 Oh yeah. I told him each, each. Speaker 2 01:10:13 Should I do it all the Speaker 3 01:10:14 Time? She like ruin songs for me. Like on the daily. Like, Kayleigh hates it. I Speaker 2 01:10:17 Hate it. Kevin hates not Speaker 1 01:10:19 Doing. What are some of your favorites to do? I'm Speaker 3 01:10:20 Trying to think. Speaker 1 01:10:22 I had one the other day where it was Speaker 2 01:10:23 Playing. It's just like, comes to me like I have to just, Speaker 3 01:10:26 I'll just be playing something that like, I'm really having a great time listening to and she'll just start like singing obscenities, like Speaker 1 01:10:32 Changing the lyrics. Yeah. Like girls just want to have, phone was on in our Uber the other day and I said girls, they just want tofu, uh, mean Oh girls, they just want to fuck. Yeah. Like they do shit like that. Oh yeah, Speaker 2 01:10:43 Yeah, yeah. Speaker 1 01:10:43 Looks like I'm instead of single again, you say, I like to mingle with Speaker 2 01:10:47 Me. Like, damn you, I have a damn, you knew right where I'd peed tonight and what time that Kayleigh would be nothing but ass. I would have a bus be missing. Yo butt feel a little horny. <laugh>. Speaker 3 01:11:01 Damn you. Oh my God. Speaker 2 01:11:06 Sorry. All Speaker 1 01:11:07 Right, let me do like a clap or something right here. All right, we'll pick it up right back here. Mc. Wayne. You ready? Speaker 3 01:11:12 Yeah. Speaker 1 01:11:13 All right. So, um, so you've got, you're about to, you're finishing up your, uh, your road dates mm-hmm. <affirmative> for the fall. You're about to have some time back here in Nashville working on the new music and all of that stuff. So what do we have to look forward to for 2023? Speaker 2 01:11:26 Hopefully, um, some more shows, some music for sure. Speaker 1 01:11:30 Be ready to get out there and start headlining. Or you like doing the Speaker 2 01:11:33 Opening Speaker 1 01:11:33 Thing Speaker 2 01:11:34 Right now? No, I think, I think that'll, we'll still maybe like a couple, like, you know, in Southeast, but, um, I think just tours with, you know, opening or shows opening and um, music for sure. I think we're gonna put out a lot of music next year. Hell yeah. So, um, Speaker 1 01:11:49 I think I speak for everybody. We're fucking ready for it. Yeah. Speaker 2 01:11:52 We really, I'm so ready for it. Speaker 1 01:11:53 We are ready for some Ella Langley teens out Speaker 2 01:11:55 There. I'm really glad though. I've waited. Yeah, because I think I, the sound, I, it's, I've nailed it. Now. I was gonna Speaker 1 01:12:02 Ask you, I know about that too, cuz like, it's so important. Especially you're what now? 22, 23. Three. You're 23. Just turned 23. Yeah. You've got your whole fucking life outta you. Yeah. But now you've had, you've got so much experience that it's, you've got so much going forward now mm-hmm. <affirmative> where it's about to be a fun fucking ride. Speaker 2 01:12:21 I'm, I'm so excited for next year. I think this year I kind of explained this year as we teed it up. Yeah. Next year is this. Yeah. Hole in one baby. Hole Speaker 1 01:12:29 In one. Let's go get you out on the golf course. Hell Speaker 2 01:12:31 Yeah. No, no, I can't do that. Speaker 1 01:12:33 I know golf cart drivers Speaker 2 01:12:35 Top golf. I can do that. Top Speaker 1 01:12:36 Golf. You can do Speaker 2 01:12:37 Pretty good at that. Speaker 1 01:12:37 Pretty good at that. Speaker 2 01:12:39 Yeah. It's kind of like just a random thing. If I get it then like, yeah. Speaker 1 01:12:42 Fuck you guys. What about range 2 31 golf. Speaker 3 01:12:45 Oh, that's Speaker 1 01:12:46 Fine. Hitting those golf balls. So they're like Speaker 2 01:12:48 Rocks. So you try to nail the truck every time Speaker 1 01:12:50 That's out there. Yeah. Old. Those golf balls are older than we are. Speaker 2 01:12:53 Yeah. <laugh> Speaker 1 01:12:54 Good times out there though times. So where can people go to find you? It's Ella Langley music. Mm-hmm <affirmative> Speaker 2 01:12:59 On everything. Speaker 1 01:13:00 On everything. Hmm. And then do you have like a photo account yet or is everything still just on Kayleigh? Speaker 3 01:13:05 It's all on my, all on my Kayleigh Robard. Speaker 1 01:13:08 Hell yeah. Yeah. Awesome. Well, oh, one last thing. Nashville. Thanks. Um, best spot in Nashville. People don't really know about like where's like a great like, hangout spot in town and I'm hitting you with a, with a hard question at the end. You actually, you gotta think about, but like, where's like a good spot in town? It's like underrated. Speaker 2 01:13:29 Hmm. Speaker 1 01:13:30 Underrated spot. Speaker 2 01:13:32 Matt, do you know that I don't leave my house? Speaker 1 01:13:35 Well, she doesn't go out. Okay. Midnight. You've been, you've been going out a bit more. I've seen you out a lot. Yeah. Speaker 3 01:13:40 Um, midnight Oil has really good pizza and pretty good drinks. Where Speaker 1 01:13:44 Is that? The Speaker 2 01:13:44 Fact that Kaylee has only lived here. I've lived here three years. Kaylee's lived here for how many months? Three. Speaker 1 01:13:50 Three. Well think about. So how old are you Kaylee? 25. You're 20. So when you moved here, you weren't 21. No. 20. You might 20. You might have been 21 in another state, who knows. But I was, Speaker 2 01:14:00 Yeah. Speaker 1 01:14:00 So, so, but when you first moved to town, you go out a lot because you're new to town and that's just what you, Speaker 2 01:14:06 You don't know anybody. Speaker 1 01:14:06 Well, you don't know anybody. But also it's the excitement of it all. Like, oh yeah, you can't, there's not many places you can go out on a Tuesday night and treat it like a Saturday night. Nashville, Tennessee is one of those places, so. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>, that's what you gotta do is when you move to town, you do gotta go out. Yeah. And meet people. So where's this place at? Midnight Oil? Speaker 3 01:14:22 I think it's near, um, it's like West Nashville. Okay. I forget Speaker 1 01:14:27 Where it is. Out near like Bellevue and stuff. Speaker 3 01:14:29 Yeah. In that direction. Okay. Yeah. Super good. Speaker 1 01:14:32 Sweet. That's like a late night spot. Speaker 3 01:14:34 Yeah. And I've went to Mother's Ruin. That's a cool, cool bar. Speaker 1 01:14:39 Sounds like some Trevon or where do you go to Speaker 3 01:14:40 All these places? It's just sometimes Speaker 1 01:14:43 That sounds like some Trayvon or East Nashville shit right there a little bit. Is that on East Nashville? Yeah. Speaker 3 01:14:48 Yeah. Yeah. Little, little bit. Little Speaker 2 01:14:51 Bit. Speaker 1 01:14:52 Is that British? I don't know. Australian, south African. Something Speaker 3 01:14:56 A little bit. Speaker 1 01:14:56 Little bit wee bit. Speaker 2 01:14:58 Soups and salads. Speaker 3 01:15:00 Soups and salads. Speaker 2 01:15:03 Soups and salads. Speaker 1 01:15:04 <laugh>. Well it's been a great episode, episode, episode, um, 1 0 1. I really appreciate you guys, um, joining us and thanks. Um, thanks for happened, Kevin. It was great. You and Kevin. I'm gonna put that in the title. I was gonna say <laugh>. It's gonna say Ella Langley and Kevin Robard. Speaker 3 01:15:20 Well, my cousin just got married and on like the official seating chart at the wedding, they put Kyle Robard, like they, they full sent and put it on the listing that way. So people have just committed to the nickname. Speaker 2 01:15:31 I just feel like you look more like a Kevin than a Kyle. Speaker 3 01:15:33 I don't think I like that at all. Okay. <laugh>. I feel like that's somehow an insult. Speaker 1 01:15:41 Switch. The Kevin. Oh Speaker 2 01:15:42 Man. All the Kevins. All the Kevins in world about to be pissed. Speaker 1 01:15:45 Switch.
