On episode 212, we sit down with rising artist Dan Spencer to explore his unique and unexpected path into the music industry. He shares the wild path that led to being an opener on Post Malone's F 1 Trillion Tour, which included a home town show at Nissan Stadium in Nashville. Dan also shares stories from his time in mortuary school, the influence of the metal scene on his sound, and the creation of his album Return to Your Dark Master, humorously inspired by Seinfeld. The conversation dives into the evolving landscape of country music and the genre-blending that’s redefining it. Dan reflects on his upbringing in Smyrna and Cookeville, the camaraderie on tour, and the invaluable support from artists like Muscadine Bloodline. He also discusses the importance of family dynamics, authenticity, and finding contentment outside of music, as well as how embracing chaos and solitude can open up creative opportunities. This episode captures the resilience, humor, and community spirit that fuel Dan’s career in music!
