And for more details and to get in touch with the rest of the familia, visit razerowdy.com. Now let's get into it. Outside the round with me, Matt Peril. A Raise Rowdy podcast.
Come on.
[00:01:09] Speaker B: This is outside the round with Matt Barill, a Rage Rowdy podcast.
[00:01:18] Speaker A: What is going on, everybody? Welcome back to outside the round. Today a very special episode because there's been a lot of shit going on in the world of Raised Rowdy. And we are at the six month point of myself and our guests today, Mr. Nikki T, joining forces and being able to do this thing full time with Nick. Not working down on Music Road myself, not working out on the road with old Mr. Trey Lewis, old TL and us doing this full time. And, God, it's been a crazy six months, dude.
[00:01:50] Speaker B: Absolutely, man. Well, thanks for having me on.
[00:01:53] Speaker A: Yes, of course. Thanks for opening up your doors and letting me record here at Rarity headquarters and shout out to our boy Ryan Humans for letting us the creativity that comes out of this house is just crazy.
[00:02:06] Speaker B: Very much so, yeah. For those of you who don't know, we are above a recording studio, the Amber Sound Recording Studio. And so that's where Muscadine bloodline, Scott Stevens is cutting his stuff. A bunch of artists, our budy Shackleford Lane, do songs with Ryan. There's multiple producers that produce out of here. And then we also house the Muscadine bloodline merch and the raise rowdy merch here.
[00:02:27] Speaker A: Yeah, Bradley. Brad Curry, my protege, the latest addition to the Muscadine Merch Mafia, as you like to say, is out there fulfilling orders right now, doing the Lord's work and the machine that is Muscadine Bloodline. If you haven't been to a Muscadine show recently or checked out their latest project, definitely get on that and do that. But dude, it has been wild. So we joined up in we announced right around the start of Key West Songwriters Festival, literally that day that we flew down there, we hit Go on the post there. So we're coming up on the six month mark of this shit. And we've been to how many festivals.
[00:03:10] Speaker B: Gosh country concert in Fort Laurie, Ohio?
[00:03:12] Speaker A: Well, even before that, auburn Rodeo.
[00:03:14] Speaker B: Auburn Rodeo. Auburn Rodeo. Twice now we went to rock the south just as patrons, kind of getting lay of the land.
[00:03:21] Speaker A: Tailgate and tall boys.
[00:03:22] Speaker B: Tailgate and tall boys. Midland we went is like one midland we went just kind of as fans, just getting lay of land. And then we went to the Bloomington as partners.
[00:03:31] Speaker A: Yeah. And then we just finished up Rome River Jam. Country concert is a four day one that we did. I mean, it's been a lot. And I was wondering, I was like, am I going to miss the road? But I'm still very much on the road and we're going to be on the road even more next year with all this shit. And then the events in town, I had been doing two a month for the most part since you got Rowdy on the Road started, you had been doing like two a month. And now we're up to eight to as many as like ten to twelve a month.
[00:04:00] Speaker B: Yeah, it's been crazy. For those that don't know or haven't met me previously, I'd been running Raise Rowdy by myself, and me and Matt had been buddies. We'd been benchmarking against each other since I've got the town. And even before that, Matt would call me after his writers rounds and we'd talk through what went great.
[00:04:20] Speaker A: Yeah, we would talk over all kinds of stuff. And to see just where things are at right now is fucking wild. Like this week alone, we had a very eventful McElain. Monday we had our 65 south takeover.
Tonight we have our Shelby Ray. Our Shelby ray and friends. Betty Crocker bitch out now you all check out that shit. We love our girl Shelby Ray with Shelby Ray and friends and a bunch of our good friends on that. And then the return of what has some would consider the biggest event that we do at Raise Rowdy. And originally started out as a Raise Rowdy outside the round or in the round together. And now it's just all under the raised rowdy umbrella. Nothing But Rock Night Volume Three.
[00:05:08] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:05:09] Speaker A: With our boys from Saxman Studios and tons of artists. The flyer is out now, so you all go take a look at it.
Fucking unbelievable. Coming off of Rome River jam, which let's talk about Rome, Georgia a little bit.
[00:05:21] Speaker B: God, I love Rome, Georgia.
[00:05:22] Speaker A: God's country. And we're going to have to get down there and do some shows at Peaches.
Just blue collar folks that get after it. And it's funny, I remember talking with when I had Gavin on here and we talked about Rome River Jam and how excited he was to play it and he crushed it. Everybody crushed it, dude.
The people down there are another breed. They don't allow tailgating down there anymore.
[00:05:45] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:05:47] Speaker A: Which tells you all that you need to know. And it's like but that was one of the first festivals I've loved. All of our festival experiences this year have been great. Shout out to all the festival partners for having us.
[00:05:57] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:05:58] Speaker A: But there was something about being in Rome, Georgia, being next to our friends at Blue Water Polarized, having the girls having shout out to Kate and Chloe. Chloe head of security and Sir Ike the prince. He might as well be a damn king of content at this point. We love Ike. And it was just it felt like bro.
[00:06:17] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:06:17] Speaker A: Like we crushed that shit. We did really good. I'm proud of how we did in Rome, Georgia.
[00:06:21] Speaker B: Yeah. We're starting to figure out exactly what our festival partners are looking like. Do they want us to bring the party inside? Do they want us to bring the party outside? Are they looking for marketing partnership know we can MC if they want us. We're we're kind of a utility knife for what a festival might need or might want. And so it's super cool to get to partner with folks know Peachtree Entertainment and get to be next to our friends at Bluetooth Polarize.
[00:06:47] Speaker A: Bro. The winner of the watermelon eating contest.
[00:06:50] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:06:51] Speaker A: You talk about Rome, Georgia as a photo and shout to our boy Dawson Edwards Hunter chestana. We got a lot of good friends j Shell we got a lot of good friends down there in Rome, Georgia. The winner of that watermelon eating contest if you guys haven't seen the photo is on the razor outdy pages. It's on my page as well.
The kid that won that, he was just a dog. He was a dog man. And that is a blue collar. That is. Go, dogs. That dude just he was wild and watching because I didn't know how it was going to go with us going and we had a process of going to pick all these damn watermelons out.
[00:07:28] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:07:28] Speaker A: We went to three or two no, went to two two different grocery stores. Right.
[00:07:34] Speaker B: It's not really watermelon season at this point.
[00:07:36] Speaker A: No. They were personal watermelons. Personal watermelons. Which actually worked out better for the watermelon eating contest. But when we went I got to learn that at Aldi you have to use the quarter to get the shopping carts. You don't have quarters. You're kind of fucked at Aldi unless there's a cart just sitting out there. But you need a quarter to take. You need to rent a know, rent a cart at Aldi. And we went in there and we got a bunch of fucking watermelons and it was kind of chaos. It was fun. I like doing the megaphone thing. I love doing the megaphone. Yeah, it's fun.
[00:08:11] Speaker B: I mean you're loud enough to begin with, but why not be louder, dude?
[00:08:14] Speaker A: The megaphone people were like and the best part was originally I couldn't find the on it has to have the light shining off of it or the sirens playing. That's the only way that it's on. Which is kind of funny that those are the settings. It's so us. And we originally got that megaphone when we did Tailgate and Tall Boys up in Bloomington. We did the hot dog eating contest. The watermelon eating contest was electric. The beer pong was electric. Gavin Adcock sunk eight cups out of ten out of his ten tosses, which was really impressive, I believe. Who was the old guy?
[00:08:43] Speaker B: Donnie.
[00:08:44] Speaker A: Donnie.
[00:08:44] Speaker B: Legend.
[00:08:45] Speaker A: Uncle Donnie, dude.
[00:08:46] Speaker B: Donnie was a legend. We gave two points for bouncing it in, so if not, if you got ten out of ten, the game's done. You can't beat it. So if you bounced it in on one bounce, you got two points. Donnie sank seven out of ten bounces. Yeah, it was insane.
[00:09:05] Speaker A: Yeah, donnie went wild. And Donnie definitely has an AARP card. Donnie's bro tide. Donnie. Donnie gets it. And Donnie's wife was cool, too. I remember they came over and we gave away the blue water, the Riley Green style. The blue water sunglasses signed by Riley Green.
[00:09:22] Speaker B: Who.
[00:09:22] Speaker A: A lot of folks were looking at me funny when I was saying the Greek god of the south. Redneck Adonis. Riley Green, which he is. Redneck Adonis.
But those were all fun, man. And the shows were cool, too. What was really cool about the Rome River Jam lineup for us was we knew everybody playing there in some capacity. The guy we probably knew the least was Bailey Latrell, the local opener on day two on that Sunday. But Gavin Adcock literally came over, hung out with us. And one of my favorite content guys, who I met earlier this year, and he's been crushing it, mr. Will Smith.
Not keep your wife's name out of my mouth Will Smith, but, like, degenerate Will Smith, like, the dude is just a whole vibe, and I'm happy to have him in the family. And he's been out on the road with Gavin, and Gavin's been doing shows, selling out clubs over the Southeast. Actually just announced Rome, Georgia, for January 20. I think we might have to go it's Gavin and Landon at Peaches. We might have to go to that.
[00:10:21] Speaker B: I know. I sent it to Sarah Beth. Also Rome, Georgia's finest. Sarah Beth one of our friends.
[00:10:25] Speaker A: We love you. SB, Queen of Horses.
[00:10:27] Speaker B: Yeah, I sent her that. I was like, I mean, why not, right?
[00:10:30] Speaker A: Yeah, why not? You got places for us to stay? Let's go. But Gavin Adcock, Chase Matthew to me, has one of the best shows in country music. I met Chase originally back in 2019 through old Carly Rogers. Carly Rogers biddy James Chase Matthew in 2019 when he was still doing the upchurch stuff and had him play the round a couple times. And whenever he sees me, he's really cool. It's just hard to get a hold of guys when they make it so big. And speaking of guys that are really big, and it was the second time we had seen him in a week because we had seen him over at Old Hickory country clubs. We could talk about the Blue Otter golf tournament in a SEC. It's turned into a whole damn Blue Otter podcast. Bradley's going to love this, but Bailey Zimmerman, everybody knows the kids got it. And it was funny. We were walking in through the backstage area. We were having to load everything in. And Bailey, I was walking past, and Bailey's like, man, you're not going to say hi as you walk by? I'm like, dude, I'm not going to bother you when you're chilling outside the bus. He's like, second time in one week. What are you doing here, man? It was cool to see Bailey and Phil and his whole crew. And then Parker puts on a great show, just the ultimate hybrid of Texas and Nashville put together. And then day two, I mean, we got to see probably the most raised rowdy guy of all time, John Langston.
[00:11:45] Speaker B: I love him.
[00:11:45] Speaker A: And you got to hang out in the bus.
[00:11:47] Speaker B: Yeah, I got to hang a little bit on the bus with the boys. Played some fun bus games.
[00:11:53] Speaker A: They're a fun crew, dude.
[00:11:54] Speaker B: Dude, they are, man. They're absolutely one of my favorite crews. Every single guy on that team is a great guy. And every single guy on that team is also a fantastic musician.
[00:12:03] Speaker A: Yeah, dude. And JD. He didn't just do 75 hard. That dude did 150 hard. JD looking like a slim gym out here. And then old pumbaa. Ben Groves, running sound. Known Ben since my days doing security here in town. He was doing sound over at Dogwood.
Pablo and Steven and Brad, and they're great guys. And then John on stage is just fucking electric.
[00:12:26] Speaker B: It's funny. I always tell people, I'm like the young artists. I'm like, you need to go to a John Langston's show. You need to watch what he's doing. Because this is how you entertain a crowd.
[00:12:34] Speaker A: Yes. This is how you do it. He's laying out the blueprint for all the young folks out there. And then Tracy Lawrence, which I always forget the merch guy's name. And I know he watches the program, so my apologies. Tracy lawrence merch guy.
But it was cool having him come over and say hey. And then we've seen their heritage acts, not going to mention any names this year, where it's like we grew up watching these guys and going to a lot of their shows, listen to their music, and you hit a certain age and you still appreciate the show. But you know, it's not what it was in 2003, 2005. Tracy Lawrence, still the same fucking guy.
[00:13:11] Speaker B: He's so good.
[00:13:12] Speaker A: He is so good live. His band, the Devil Went Down, the Georgia cover. That he does. What I love is he does the tribute to all the guys that we've lost in the last two years. He does an ode to Kenny Rogers, to Joe Diffie, to Charlie Daniels, and it's just hit after hit after hit and then to close it all out. A longtime member of the Race Rowdy family, miss Laney Wilson. And it's cool getting to see people dress up as these artists.
[00:13:40] Speaker B: Absolutely.
[00:13:40] Speaker A: You go to a Laney Wilson show, you're at, like, Yellowstone Comic Con.
[00:13:44] Speaker B: Yeah, no. And honestly, man, that's one of the coolest things from that night was all of the families. You see a mom in bell bottoms with three little girls. Yes. And it's just like, man, that is such a good thing. It tells you so much about how branded Laney has been and how much the people are into it.
[00:14:04] Speaker A: Yeah, absolutely. So that kind of closed out our festival season of what we're attending. We're still helping with some promo, like Tailgate and Tall Boys out in Rockingham, north Carolina is coming up.
It's just a long trip.
[00:14:18] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:14:19] Speaker A: 16 hours of total. Driving out there to Rockingham would just be a lot. And we have a big Sunday event that we're going to be announcing soon. That Sunday, November 19. You all mark the calendar over at Live Oak, but it's been an incredible year of festivals, of in town events.
We've really accelerated the Rowdy alternative podcast. If there's any rock and roll guys and girls listening to this thing, you got to check out Rowdy Alternative with our boy Sam Berg. Sam is our degenerate little brother, and we have Razor ID Gens, which we can talk about, too.
Sam is just a wild dude. He's the kind of dude that'll Call will be like, Sam, we were watching your podcast. What are you doing with the black guys? Like, oh, man, me and my budy, we just got into it after Margaritas at Applebee's. They're like you fucking degenerate. We love you.
[00:15:10] Speaker B: I remember how Matt didn't feel nearly as bad about his Zin usage after he saw how many Zins.
[00:15:16] Speaker A: Yeah, dude, I mean, I'll go through I'll buy, like, a roll of Zin, and it'll last me, like, a couple weeks. Sam's doing two, three, sixes at a time and just leaves them in there. Like he's just built different. But Rowdy alternative has been great. He just dropped a new episode with our boy Mitchell Ferguson that y'all got to check out.
Excuse me. That was a little gross. And then the raze Rowdy Racing boys, Caleb Conrad caleb Conrady, as he likes to call himself. And Mr. Dawson Edwards and raise Rowdy racing. They're over 20 episodes now.
[00:15:52] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:15:52] Speaker A: And they're doing very well.
[00:15:53] Speaker B: So good, man. Like, those boys are made to talk about NASCAR.
[00:15:57] Speaker A: Yes, they are. And now there's people listening. We're seeing that thing grow as well, which has been awesome. And we've got some ideas for some more podcasts that are coming. And we've got the Razor Audi Dgens coming, which we're going to do a I want to get a few of those guys on together for an episode here on Outside the Round Djens. We might have to do it outside and just have like a wide camera and maybe have all I don't know how we'd do it, but we'd get some of them on and most of them I've had on the podcast before. I've had a few of them on because I've had Mark, I've had Ryan Nelson a few times as you've had on Tales from the Front Row and we've had Brian on. I've had Mark on when Masturbator came out, which is a song about fishing and Jadis and Eli Locke and we've been recording content with them since April and getting it just right. And we're going to be rolling that content out soon with Raze Rowdy Djens. And it's like the hybrid of blue collar comedy tour meets a writer's round at the Listening Room or at Live Oak. And it's what we are as Ray's Rowdy. Like the Djens are us, we are the Dgens and we love those guys. And that's been a fun one to get going too, man.
[00:17:06] Speaker B: I completely agree with that. And then, man, I mean, the merch like you previously had kind of had merch at a few events, but nothing consistent. Yeah, so now whenever you're at one of our events every Sunday that we have the Rowdy on the Row or any of the outside the Round events or a lot of our other events in town, you can grab a Raise Rowdy T shirt, a hat, we just got some new hoodies.
[00:17:26] Speaker A: Those hoodies are sick, bro. I think we're down to like 30 of the black rope ones, which we haven't even really formally announced. Those have just been like giveaways, which the execs are in town and hooking everybody up. And then the Camo hoodies were already halfway through, which has been good. So get those hoodies while you can. We just got a bunch of the trucker hats back in. We got some cool collab pieces coming up that will be coming in soon. A really cool collaborative hat that we're going to be announcing soon, and a T shirt with our friends from north of the border up there in Canada. And it's been really cool getting to see a lot of artists just rep our shit like it's been at an all time high. Which, of course, we build into our plan of if you play a Razor outdy event, you get one of the big ones at Live Oak that we do. Like our Tuesdays and Sundays. We hook you up with some merch because we can't pay you. We can give you a cooler beer.
[00:18:21] Speaker B: We would love to make enough money where we could give the artists money all playing three songs each, but we just aren't there.
But that's part of why we are getting into other spaces, too, because there are events that we can hopefully in the future give these artists that are spending their time playing for us and for artists and for friends and for patrons at the bar we can get into giving them some good gigs, hopefully.
[00:18:50] Speaker A: Absolutely.
[00:18:50] Speaker B: Yeah, man. Raise Rowdy has been a community and it's been a family, but now it's a family business, dude.
[00:18:57] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:18:57] Speaker B: And I love that.
[00:18:58] Speaker A: It is literally a business.
We're talking about numbers and stuff now. We're seeing what is our inventory value, what is the cost of everything, what is it going to cost to go to this event, what does the fuel look like? It's taking all the shit that we've been doing the previous few years to where it's at right now. It's been fucking awesome. We've got some cool opportunities coming up that we're getting to do in town with label partners, which is something I never thought that I would be doing, which is really exciting and cool. And then when we've been out on the road, another cool event that we got to do, we got to do the Blue Water Polarize Golf Tournament. And that was we had the Tent of Degeneracy at this thing.
[00:19:41] Speaker B: Yeah.
So I MCD the Blue Water Golf Tournament last year, just me, and then I kind of helped sign people in and stuff last year. So this year they were like, well, we know you guys know how to bring the party. So that we did.
[00:19:56] Speaker A: Yeah. We were at hole number five, and we were set up there and we gave out Cole Swindell's moonshine.
[00:20:05] Speaker B: Yep. Courtesy of Boa coolers.
[00:20:06] Speaker A: Courtesy of Boa coolers. And we gave out Crown head cigars.
[00:20:10] Speaker B: Yes. Courtesy of crown heads.
[00:20:12] Speaker A: We gave out razor outdy hats, courtesy of us.
And we gave out some Crown Heads merch as well. And we definitely slowed the pace of play because people were coming over. And it was cool having artists come over, like getting to see Cole Swindell, talk with Trey Lewis and Cole Taylor, and just the mix of different people. Seeing Hardy and Hunter Phelps come over, seeing Riley Green come over and talking to Bobby Lee, which Bobby Lee was another guy I got to see twice this week, which was a real treat. And seeing little Todd out there and seeing Hunter Price and all those crazy rodeo guys from bowls, bands and barrels, which was wild. But, yeah, doing the golf tournament was a lot of fun. And definitely I smoked way too many cigars. We had 90 fucking cigars with us at the table. 90 cigars.
[00:21:03] Speaker B: Thank you, John from Crownhead.
[00:21:04] Speaker A: Yeah. Thank you, John. We love you. The crown head cigars. Huge fucking and we brought our own cigars with us. And then there was a guy there named Cowboy. There were quite a few cowboys there, but there was a gentleman named Cowboy who's out on the road with Riley Green, usually doing security work and he was like, man, I'll trade you the cigars. And I'm like, no, dude, they're free to take them. He's like, no, man, we do cigar trades around here. And he hooked us up with some cigars. I ended up smoking five fucking cigars from like 09:00 A.m. To about, like 04:00 p.m.. I smoked five sticks.
And at the end we even had one with the big stick with our buddies. And I was hurting. I was hurting. It was a lot. And then we had two days later, the cigar thing kept going. We had our final our finale of Rhythm and Smoke.
[00:21:58] Speaker B: What a blessing.
[00:21:59] Speaker A: Which was really cool. We went, we because that event at the Rusty Nail shout out to Tommy and Steven and everybody at the Rusty Nail because the Nail has been a very fun place for it. We had known about the Nail and we had popped in there before. But the past like six months at the Nail have been a lot of fucking fun, man.
[00:22:19] Speaker B: It's so much fun out there just because it's a little bit off the beaten path, so you can actually park.
[00:22:25] Speaker A: But right on our path. We literally pass it going into town every day.
[00:22:28] Speaker B: Yes, very good for us.
And yes, the staff there is amazing. They also right after Rhythm and Smoke have freaking karaoke, which has turned into kind of like artist like it's been great, man. It's like the first time we did it, we had Dan Alley. And I was like, Dan, you got to sing karaoke know, because he came out, he didn't even play. He just came out to the know and we were like, Dan, you gotta sing karaoke now. And so he did. And he made me come up with him and I was like, why does he want me up here? He's so good at singing. And I was like, oh, comedic relief. I can do that.
[00:23:02] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:23:02] Speaker B: So great, man. The folks at the now are great. They honestly have been helping us acquire sponsorship and things like that, too. They want us in the building, which is great.
[00:23:12] Speaker A: Yeah. Which makes us feel really at home. But this rhythm and smoke event. We had Jefferson's bourbon and we had CAO cigars. And we're smoking the CIO Brazilians. Plus bringing our own ground heads and our normal sticks, we went through. And I say we I didn't participate, of course, but six bottles of Jefferson's Ocean, which is a lot of whiskey. They were doing six dollar old fashions, which is crazy people, the Dgens. Mark and Jadis were shooting the old fashions. They were drinking the old fashions as shots because they were only $6.
[00:23:45] Speaker B: Mark's going to get in trouble for this.
[00:23:47] Speaker A: That's okay. We love you, Ashlyn. We love you.
But we got really wild out there. My dad got to be in town, which was cool. I got to bring him to the.
[00:23:58] Speaker B: Opry, who is a big cigar guy.
[00:24:00] Speaker A: Yeah, my dad is a huge he's the reason I smoke cigars. But we got to go to the Opry and see Josh Ross at the Opry, which was really cool. And got to see him down at Alvines doing the big 98 event, which was fun. We're going to have to get Josh back on. He was like, man, when can I come back on for a podcast? I actually have stuff to talk about now. And I'm like, oh, Josh, whenever, dude. And he's one of those guys that reps our hats and stuff. And then a guy that's like a little brother to him, Owen Regling, up in Canada who's been out in the Tyler Hubbard tour. He's been wearing the hat a ton. So I shot him a text and was like, dude, thanks for wearing the hat. He's like, bro, it's my favorite fucking hat. I wear it everywhere. I'm like, dude, all right. We'll get you some more. So we'll have an episode with Owen Regling coming soon when he's back in town, which we're excited about. And then the tried that in a small town things. So much fun, dude. You see we got some traction on that one. I did.
What the hell was the I'm bad. I forgot the damn put some south in your mouth.
[00:24:57] Speaker B: Put some south in your mouth. The barbecue.
[00:24:59] Speaker A: Was it Smith's? It was something with an S. I have the coffee mug at my house. They're going to hate me for not remembering the name. But there's been all kinds of random people from Alabama commenting on it that are, like, affiliated with that place. It was in Asheville, Alabama. It was a barbecue joint. And we went in there. And I brought Ike with me on that. And Ike. It was funny. Ike and I were sitting there. We were like, I'm from the city of Seattle. You're from New York. And we're in this town of like 600 people to 1000 people in Alabama eating this barbecue. And there's all these people around us that eat at this place every day because it's all they fucking have. And the barbecue was so good. Oh, it was so good. It was such good food. And then we went to the Gravy Boat in a row. The gravy boat was fucking awesome.
[00:25:49] Speaker B: Oh, God bless the gravy boat. We went there for the first time when I went down to a Hardy show with Heather and Brandy and Taylor. And they were like, we got to go to Gravy Boat. And then we went. And I was like, yeah. I mean, I'm trying to go to this every time I'm here now.
[00:26:02] Speaker A: Yeah. Not open on Sundays or Mondays. Get there over the weekend. And then we went to Giggity's.
[00:26:07] Speaker B: God bless Giggity's. My favorite bar in Rome.
[00:26:10] Speaker A: Giggadees was fun. And we broke in. We added some new members to the family. Kate had kind of been a member of the family for. A while had come out to an event when you had your old day job. And then we brought Chloe out with us as well. And they have a claw machine in Giggadees. Bud Light's going to love this. They had a Bud Light claw machine where you basically stick the claw, the claw from Toy Story. And you try to pull out beer cans that look like they're full beers, but they're empty sealed beers. And Chloe pulled out. She got two of them. Two with one hit, two of them with one hit. You take the cans and then you cash them in at the bar. And then I was like, all right, there's a thing of stuffed animals over there. I got to win something for Lady Charlote Aaron's daughter. And took me about four or five tries and Ike was like, bro, I win shit like this for my girlfriend all the time. Go for that one. And I was like, okay. And then I went for that one. And now Charlote is the proud owner of Verde the Giraffe. She named it Verde because it's green. Five years old, speaks fucking Spanish, dude. It's crazy. She speaks Spanish. It's wild. But yeah, it's been a great six months. We had the FloraBama fucking takeover too. We did Bamabash.
[00:27:23] Speaker B: Yeah, Matt and I went to the Florida Bama. And Matt was man, like, it was great being down here. Everybody had fun. At least we didn't lose money. I'm like, you didn't see my bar tab, Budy.
[00:27:33] Speaker A: Yes. That's the thing. I go to all these events and I'm not drinking. I'm not buying drinks for a ton of people and all that stuff. But yeah, the bar tabs, I'm usually.
[00:27:44] Speaker B: Pretty reasonable as an know.
[00:27:46] Speaker A: Well, I guess sometimes Alabama was like spring break. You had bender down there. You had Jade down fucking chachi chachi.
[00:27:53] Speaker B: And Laura.
[00:27:54] Speaker A: Yeah, you had the Megan. We had the entire like the folks that have been able to watch be a part of Raise Rowdy and watch Raise Rowdy since it was just a group of friends tailgating in a field in Fort Laurie, Ohio and going to shows in Pittsburgh and eastern Ohio. Then they got to be down there and we got to kind of break in the Dgens. Got that max and Callie down there. Cody Parks killed it. Paxton P killed it. Scoot. Josh Terry and his wild bunch. Sean, david, Josh, Terry.
[00:28:20] Speaker B: I love you, Josh Terry.
[00:28:21] Speaker A: Josh Terry was fucking wild. Everybody was wild. But we're looking forward to hopefully doing some more stuff down at the floor band. Felt like it made me feel like what spring break 2002 must have been like because it was all the folks that were at spring break.
[00:28:34] Speaker B: But we actually had money.
[00:28:35] Speaker A: But everybody actually had money because they're in their forty s. So yeah, that was a lot of fun. And yeah, all these in town events have just been awesome. And it's been cool to go out every night or go out well, the nights that I do go, I don't go out every night anymore. But the nights that we're out, we see people wearing razorati hats, wearing razorati shirts, razorati hoodies. Once people start buying these at the event, it's exciting, man.
[00:29:00] Speaker B: It is.
[00:29:01] Speaker A: It's cool. And getting to go out of town and see stuff. And it's been a wild six months and we still got a long way to go. But it's been cool to get to be big parts of the scene and see all that is going on and getting to have folks that want to be involved, like folks getting messages from other folks in town that are like, man, we're seeing this hat everywhere. Congrats on that. Having festival partners to not just having now.
We thought it was cool that we didn't have to pay to be at the festival as patrons. Now we're getting to go there and sell merch and spread the gospel of what we're doing and just crazy shit.
[00:29:41] Speaker B: It's amazing, man. And like I said, it's good. I know you talked about your dad being in town, but your mom and your stepdad have been in town too, which has been great.
[00:29:48] Speaker A: Yeah, they're in town all weekend and they had a really good time at The Nail. Yes. They didn't know what to expect.
They were like, matt, we want to see the Rusty Nail. We want to see what it's like. We want to see McElain Monday. And I'm like, well, it's the nail. It's its own thing.
[00:30:04] Speaker B: They loved it.
[00:30:05] Speaker A: And then the girls dressing up in costume. Awesome. Erin had her, like, dinosaur costume that she rides. McAway was so excited for that dinosaur costume. He was like, I've always wanted to ride one of these. I've always wanted to wear one of these. And then Chelsea dressing up as Nick Hayne. Cynthia was in that lemur. And then Holly was like rag Doll Raggedy Ann or something. And they all get really into them. Brian Fraser dressing up as Toby Keith. It was fucking awesome.
[00:30:32] Speaker B: Holly was Bride of Chucky, by the way.
[00:30:33] Speaker A: Oh, it's Bride of Chucky.
[00:30:34] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:30:34] Speaker A: I thought it was like one of those little Raggedy Ann dolls.
[00:30:37] Speaker B: I think it was Bride of Chucky.
[00:30:38] Speaker A: Might have been Bride of Chucky. She'll clarify.
[00:30:40] Speaker B: But also like that big hat Alex Maxwell had.
[00:30:44] Speaker A: Oh, dude, that dude is like five foot four. He was like six three with that hat on.
[00:30:48] Speaker B: So great. I had it on in a couple of pictures. And people are going nuts over your smile pictures, too. God bless you, Alex Maxwell.
[00:30:54] Speaker A: We love you so much. Big money, Maxwell. And we've got some cool events coming up. One of them is we're going to be doing our third year in a row, alex Maxwell and Trey Lewis birthday party. They haven't asked us for money yet, so we still get to do the event with them. They're all big time, man. Maxwell's had like 20 something cuts this year. Trey Lewis is out there doing his thing and just announced a bunch of West Coast dates to kick off 2024 with but we're going to be doing that December 5 at Live Oak. We've got a really cool one with Country Liberty, the Canadian brand, our boy Sawyer for Rowdy on the Row on the 19th. We got butt rock night this Sunday. We got our annual friends Giving night the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.
It's a damn marathon, man. And cranking out all these damn podcasts and got a bunch of cool guests lined up that we're going to be doing and then also getting to put out music with artists. We just had that. You guys just had that within the Tales from the Front Row, within the Raise Rowdy podcast family.
[00:31:55] Speaker B: Yeah, man. It's been super crazy because coming from having worked at a record label and getting to kind of see that happen a little bit, but I didn't know what I was doing.
You never really know what you're doing until you figure out what you're doing. But we love Shelby Ray and I think as soon as you hear her voice, you know that this thing is undeniable.
[00:32:15] Speaker A: And then you hang out with her and you're like, this is one of the coolest people that you will ever fucking meet.
[00:32:20] Speaker B: She is a lover. She is passionate.
She has nothing driving her except that she is going to do this thing. And just the opportunity to put our name side by side with someone like Shelby Ray at this part of her career is amazing for us.
[00:32:36] Speaker A: Yeah, dude, it's been really cool to get to watch that and then it'll be full circle to have the release tonight, which is very exciting to get to see Shelby and a bunch of our other friends on that. Randall Fowler. Avery Bielski max King callie Prince. Just a ton.
[00:32:55] Speaker B: Ashlyn Kraft.
[00:32:56] Speaker A: Ashlyn Kraft. Bro, we haven't seen Ashland in so fucking long. Did you see the clip she was in? I think it was at a festival in South Carolina and everybody was singing back every word. That was so cool, man. Because I love Ashlyn Kraft.
[00:33:09] Speaker B: Me too, man. She's been our sister for a long time. I remember in 2019, I was her first podcast.
We were friends with her before she had a record label. We're still friends with her after she doesn't have a record label or when she gets another record label.
She is another talent that is just undeniable and another person that is one of the best people and best hangs in town.
[00:33:32] Speaker A: Yeah, we did a little camping trip with her. We've done this year. It's going to be tough at the end of the year. I always used to do an outside like an in the round recap when I was in the round. But this year at Razor Audi recap there's just so fucking much that has happened. How do we even do it, dude?
[00:33:48] Speaker B: It's just fucking millisecond of everything.
[00:33:50] Speaker A: Yeah. Millisecond of everything. We're going to be busy in Cap Cut.
It's wild.
[00:33:55] Speaker B: And guys, we want to let you know, this is Matt and I literally living our dream. We talk about it all the time. We're like, we get to do something that not a lot of people get to do.
[00:34:05] Speaker A: Yeah, absolutely.
[00:34:06] Speaker B: And honestly, a lot of that comes to you guys listening to the podcast or watching the podcast, you guys coming out to events. Every t shirt or hat you buy actually makes it so we can put gas in the van to go to another festival. So we just want to thank you guys so much for supporting our small business.
Hopefully we make it a big business eventually. But it's just been a blessing to get to do it with you too, brother.
[00:34:29] Speaker A: Yeah, dude, it's been fucking awesome. And another thing too, and this will be something that some folks from out of town might come into. We are doing our first ever raised rowdy Christmas party. Yeah. It's going to be at the Rusty Nail so we can get extra degenerate with it. December the 13th. It's a Wednesday night. If you're in town or you're out of town and want to come in, that's what was wild, too, dude. We just did that 65 south takeover. We'll get back to the Christmas party in a second.
Doing the 65 south takeover. And I don't know their names, but they know me. There's just random Diehard music fans in Alabama that have been following what I've been doing from when I was selling merch with Gary and Charlie and with the Muscadine guys to out on the road with Trey that are just so fucking supportive of everything. And there's some like, you got your big worms. You got your Katie Brooks's, you've got your Joanna Alrods. You've got the crew, the Brandy Hewitts, the Diehard fans. But I didn't even know who these people were. The other I I'm sure I'd met them and sold them a dick down in Dallas or a butt fucked in Boston sticker or a Porch Swing Angel T shirt over the years. But they came up for the 65 south takeover. They took like four pictures with me. I'm like, what are you all doing taking a picture with me? You'd be taking pictures with Caleb Mills or Caleb Shirley or Adam Hood or Reed Haughton or Blaine Rudd. What are you doing taking pictures with us? And like, nah, we love all that you do, Matt. We love you. And it's really cool. So really appreciate all the out of town love and all the different markets that we're getting to go to and the support that we're getting from folks in small towns like Rome, Georgia. Like Montgomery, Alabama. Like Birmingham, Alabama. Like Anderson, South Carolina. Starkville, Mississippi. Tifton, Georgia. Like, all these different places that we've gotten to go to and take this thing. It's been fun to see, and hopefully we'll get to see some of you all on December the 13th because The Rusty Nail is as much of a Raised Rowdy kind of fun house as anything. And free parking, which is a huge fucking bonus. You can get hammered there for like 30, $40.
[00:36:38] Speaker B: Yeah, they have $3 beers, I think, like all the time.
[00:36:41] Speaker A: And we are doing a promotion for the Christmas party. It's going to be a full karaoke night. So you can sing just like the artists can sing. It'll be straight karaoke the whole fucking night. We might have some artists hop up and play if they want to. We're going to inquire about that. We're storing out the kinks and the details. But you bring a toy for a toy drive. We're going to be doing a toy drive with this. You get a free draft beer, a free outlaw beer for bringing a toy to The Rusty Nail, which you get.
[00:37:08] Speaker B: To help the kids, plus help your liver be worse.
[00:37:10] Speaker A: Yes, help the kids and get a free beer.
Help your wallet out a little bit. So that's going to be really cool. And yeah. And then we're planning 2024.
We're hoping to get to like 15 festivals, I think was the number we decided yesterday in our meeting, man.
[00:37:25] Speaker B: Yeah. What we've been doing this year is kind of getting the lay of the land, helping out with getting some folks on site so that we have video for promotion. And we're trying to be partners, man. That's what we're looking to do. We're looking to grow. We know where we're at, and we're looking to grow with other people. So we've been super blessed to get to find the relationships we have and hopefully we find even some.
[00:37:50] Speaker A: It'll be it'll be awesome. Well, this was a quick pod. I know you guys know Nikki T very well. We've had him on the podcast before. And if you're familiar with what we do at Raise Rowdy, you obviously know Nikki T. What are all the handles and places to at Raise Rowdy, baby?
[00:38:05] Speaker B: Follow us.
[00:38:06] Speaker A: Yes. Follow at razoroudy. Get on the website. We're getting ready to do a full relaunch of the website. Shout out to everybody that's writing articles for us, too, and the team that we've got. It takes a village to do this fucking thing. It's not just Nick and I. It's a whole slew of people coming out on the road with us, selling merch at Live Oak, taking photos and videos at Live Oak, at these festivals, at The Nail, at all the different things that we get to do, all the artists that have become part of our family and everything. But y'all be sure to follow Raised Rowdy. Look up raze rowdy. Nicky t on Instagram. You'll find some funny memes on. Oh, one last thing. [00:39:02] Speaker B: Not the real Snoop Dogg, though.
[00:39:03] Speaker A: AI snoop Dogg, but we love y'all. Thank you guys for watching and listening. As always, shout out big Friendly productions. Whaletail Media, saxman Studios of boy.
